Default Since Mormonism funded a great deal of Prop 8, I wonder in all fairness whether and n

Voting on whether Mormonism is a valid form of Christianity?

Joseph Smith claimed to have found some golden tablets which were then conveniently taken by an angel, then God spoke to him through a magic hat, this was written down but some guy's wife hid them, so Smith had to ask God to speak again from his magic hat and notes were taken. The first set of notes contradicted the second hm mm?

I think clearly that Mormon doctrine should be banned for not being a legitimate form of Christianity.

The bible clearly states that we should be aware of false prophets and that there were to be no prophets after Jesus. Thus I believe it can clearly within a court of Law that Mormonism clearly is not a legitimate form of Christianity and should be ceased forthwith.
Yes the majority foe voters for Prop 8 were African American, yet the largest amount of funding for Prop 8 came from the Mormons.

And let's not forget that until recently Mormons were also quite happy to have multiply wives.
It' s also a little strange that someone who decibels them self as a Christian and others as black, clearly showing their racism is hanging around in this section. Hmmm?
It's a question of fairness Rose, if Church and State are separate then the funding should not have been accepted for campaign, there can be individual donations but a lager amount some 3/4 million $ came directly from the Mormon church.

Blacks passed Prop 8 not the Mormons. It is ironic that the democrat party killed the gay marriage law. And you cannot indoctrinate kids with your agenda. We are tired of it and we fight to the end.

This is one of the reasons Prop * was passed:

First-graders in San Francisco took a field trip to City Hall to celebrate the marriage of their lesbian teacher on Friday, but opponents of same-sex marriage in the state say the field trip was an attempt to ?indoctrinate? the students, the San Francisco Chronicle reported.

The field trip was suggested by a parent at the Creative Arts Charter School, and the school said the trip, where students tossed rose petals on their teacher and her wife as they left City Hall, was academically relevant.

"It really is what we call a teachable moment," said Liz Jaroslow, the school?s interim director, according to the newspaper. She said same-sex marriage had historic significance. "I think I'm well within the parameters."

California will vote on Nov. 4 on Proposition 8 which seeks to ban same-sex marriage in the state, and supporters of the measure say the field trip shows that allowing same-sex marriage will mean it?s taught to school children, the newspaper said.

"It's just utterly unreasonable that a public school field trip would be to a same-sex wedding," said Chip White, press secretary for the Yes on 8 campaign, told the Chronicle. "This is overt indoctrination of children who are too young to have an understanding of its purpose."

don't forget the Catholics. They gave a lot of money, and paid for Southern Baptist ads that went to my house...
I think a vote to boot the catholics out of Christianity might stand a chance to win.

I am a bit reactionary as well, and would like to put a vote out that won't pass just to wake people up.

Like, banning suffrage again. That might be fun. (sorry Lesbians, but you would need to campaign and vote for your last opportunity to vote).

No, these things are wrong too, but they would/might wake people up to the disconnect within this years election.

No, Mormonism should not be legally banned.

Whether or not it is a valid form of Christianity is irrelevant. The government has no business regulating religion. It's called separation of church and state.

Separation of church and state is also why the ban on gay marriages has to be removed.
