Lutheran - we are saved by grace, through faith in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ
Methodist - saved by faith and works
Baptist - must be "reborn" and "saved"
Lutheran - God and the Holy Spirit are present at the Baptism, the sinful nature is drowned and one is reborn as a child of God, filled with the Holy Spirit.
Methodist - similar
Baptist - only after a certain age, must feel the desire to be baptized, many require they give a testimony, strictly a symbol to the rest of the congregation. (Most feel that children under a certain age are given an automatic free pass into Heaven)
