It's cool wearing your own veil in the privacy of your own home, or when traveling in/around town.
But you would want to check with someone in the Mennonite community to see if they have specific rules on the type of veil you should wear in a house of worship. You don't want to step on Antone's toes...
You can wear anything you want. If your comfortable with it its OK. It doesn't violate any thing in the bible. But it says that a woman covers her head to show she is in submission to her husband. or man. So why do you want to wear one. I lived on a farm that the people were Mennonites and loved them very much of course they believed the same as me but i always wanted to wear the little cap but never got one. Just for the sake of wearing one. I just liked them. So go for it. Maybe you will start something in your church.
No, its brilliant! I wear a Mennonite veil too.It was a gift from Mennonite friends. Some Mennonite churches would prefer if you asked permission to wear their specific veil and all Mennonites do not want people to wear their specific veil with say trousers or while working on a Sunday or swearing.A Mennonite once told me about a church he knew who gave a spare veil to a woman interested in their faith, only to meet the woman next week in town wearing trousers with the veil.
