My pastor is Pentecostal too and he doesn't believe that. He said when we get born again our sins are forgiven for the past, present and future. If you were sinning when you died, you would still go to heaven.
The truth is that the saved believer in Jesus is already forgiven all sins, including all future sins. That isn't to be used as an excuse to sin, since there can be other consequences to sins. But hell is not one of those consequences, for the saved believer in Jesus (John 11:25-27)
it is for GOD to say so only GOD knows for many will say LORD LORD, just stay on the straight and narrow path that leads to GOD. ask GOD to forgive u of your sins everyday.remember that He is a loving and forgiving FATHER.
If you would get to know the bible for yourself, you would be able to discern
the difference in Thus Sayer the Lord and thus says the preacher. If they
don't line up, then go with the bible version.
God alone will judge. If you are forgiven, you escape judgment, period! Jesus sacrifice paid the price for ALL sin not so we could focus on it a live fearful lives but so that we could be FREE. I AM FREE ARE YOU?
I don't remember 'Thou Shalt Not Speed' in the 10 commandments, but Christians are supposed to follow the 'law of the land' insofar as it does not contradict the 10 commandments.
Technically, speeding could be considered dangerous to you and to other people. A collision (accident implies no fault) that could have been prevented by slowing down could seriously injure or kill you, them, or other people in either vehicle (or pedestrians) - and you could be charged with 'Vehicular Homicide' (technically suicide if you speed and crash into a pole at 100mph - even though you might consider it an 'accident' because your foot slipped off the brake etc.
Fortunately, the concepts of 'sin' and 'hell' are superstitious nonsense. The preacher was doing his spiel -and Pentecostals are well known for showy acts of zealotry, and hellfire/damnation preaching.
Yes, any sin sends us to hell if we are not covered by the blood of Jesus Christ. It matters not whether it is speeding in a car or skimming money from a business account at work. We all sin, each and every day. God says that simple unbelief in Him is sin. If I do not believe God can keep me safe today, that is a sin for it is a form of unbelief.
If I have accepted Christ, then if I die while speeding I still go to heaven for I am saved from my sins. However, generally speaking, if I have really accepted Christ and understand my relationship with God then I am not going to be doing much speeding in my car.
LOL!!!! I just had to do a cut n paste because we have a member who likes to delete his answers. He said:
"That is false.

I guess our "pastor" is telling us that Purgatory is real?

Oh. To answer the question: only a mortal sin will send you to hell. Speeding is only considered a mortal sin in Ohio.
No one who "willfully" sins...goes to heaven. God cannot be around "willful" sin. Period! Only the power of the Holy Spirit can keep us from sinning. We do our part, stay away from things that tempt us, and He will do the rest. We are saved...unto, salvation. However, when we are made aware, convicted of sin, and convinced that it is against a Holy God, we then "repent" stop doing it.
No one goes to heaven who knowingly keeps committing the same sin(s) in their life. If you know that the stove top is hot...you don't keep putting your hand on it. No brain er. There is always consequences for willful...sin(s).
