Default If Catholicism is a False Religion, and Protestantism is the TRUE way to God?

why do protestants keep splintering off and forming progressively smaller, and smaller and smaller Churches? Aren't Protestants now getting down to the point that they are no longer aligned to any OTHER church, and THEIR one church is their religion?

Catholicism has had all sorts of splinter groups too. The Orthodox split from them, then the Uniates (who eventually returned), then the Old Catholics in the 1800s, then the Society of St. Pius X, etc.

No religion is immune from splinter groups.

Human nature is to challenge authority and break down barriers.

You are correct, Catholicism is the grandparent of all Christian religions. They get more and more progressive as time moves forward.

There is no ONE true way to God. I have my own spiritual beliefs, but I also respect the beliefs of others.

There is no such thing as Protestantism. Many different denominations are classified as Protestant, but some of them have significant differences. Most of them use the Catholic baptism instead of baptizing like in the book of Acts.

They don't have the unifying factor of the Pope and the College of Cardinals, plus the various bishops and archbishops.

Although all of these have, at one time or another, caused the Church problems, it also helps keep the debate about adding dogma within reasonable levels.

Religion is a joke anyway. It's used to control the masses and make them feel bad about themselves if they don't tow the line.

Touche.
You know, Luther had NO intention of starting a new church. I'm a Protestant, but I feel that Catholics are just as Christian as I am.
(Then again, I'm also a Protestan who believes in Anonymous Christianity, a Catholic doctrine, so...)

You can be a Christian whether you are Catholic or Protestant. I think that Protestant churches are getting smaller because more and more are opening up. Some people like to keep their church small so that everyone in it can be close and others are small because they are newer.

It always makes me laugh. If the ORIGINAL one is false, then so are all the ones that branched off it. Logic fail.

Both have the Christian foundational truths in them. The ones necessary for Salvation. They both lead you to Jesus Christ. Who Is the Way, the Truth & the Life. The way for our hearts to be restored with the Father's Heart.

But all Christian religions have the wheat (Gods Word) preached in it. But some of the religions have more tares than others. Tares are the lies, slanders. heresies, false doctrines... These are sown of the devil.

If you seek God in this, He will give you discernment. And as Christians, we should shine the Light in all the dark corners.

One of the heresies within Churches on the Rock Foundation (Christ is the Rock) is = We are the only True Church. The others are false & of the devil... This is really making ourselves judges of our sister/brother in Christ's heart. And so we suffer spiritual blindness and can't discern things correctly.

The devil had many schemes to divide up the Church of Christ.
