Default why do protestantism or evangelism says Sola Scriptura or Just the Bible?

when the Bible was compiled historically by the Roman Church through the Holy Spirit.. and Martin Luther and other Reformists just say you are saved by faith, you are sinner by nature.. but they reject the original sin.. they say the church that the NT mentioned.. it doesn't exist anymore.. now all evangelical churches are the new church?

The Bible is the only "infallible" rule of faith. All things must be compared to what the Bible teaches and if they don't match up then they are to be rejected.

When the Bible was agreed upon there was not the idea in the church in Rome that it was the "one true church". It wasn't like the Pope and the Vatican agreed on what qualified to be in it. They had Christian scholars and theologians from different areas at the meeting to debate and discuss the various merits of the books under consideration.

It's called "playing King of the Mountain", and when played out with language, only language supporting to your cause (and damaging to the other) is to be used....no truth is sought - only the advancement of your side of the argument is presented.

Sola Scripture motivates Protestants because they do not want to follow the directions of the church Jesus organized. However, Jesus did not teach so la scripture. He anticipate the problems of people finding in scripture whatever they wanted to believe. For example, today, some "Christians" use so la scripture to promote sodomy and prenatal homicide.

Jesus understood that under any "religion of the book," his teachings would be lost in the anarchy of private self-justifying interpretations. For this reason, Christianity is a religion of the word, and the word is Jesus himself. His teachings are protected by the church, an actual human organization he authorized (see Matt 16:18-19, 18:18).

The church Jesus talked about in the NT continues to exist in the Catholic Church, the group given authority to "bind and loose" in interpreting scripture.

Cheers,
Bruce

Well in my opinion if one wants to get to know God properly then one must look into His word the Bible, and that's the only source to use. I must ask though why the Catholics before the Reformation, only allowed priests to read the Bible, and why was it kept only in Latin.....was it about control and manipulation?..........I know what my answer would be ! I am not Catholic, but don't believe at all that only by Faith you will be saved, but by faith and works !!
