Rightly said. Shia do ghoul i.e. increase status of their Imams like Allah. They say Ya Ali thinking Ali is all-knowing, all-hearing, all-seeing, all-powerful like Allah.

yes and no.

The Catholic church is most closely related to the original church, and the Protestants separated from the Catholic church (in protest...) and so are more akin to the Shias in that manner.

However.

The Shias have the 12 imams. They pray to Ali, and others for intercession. So do the Catholics pray to saints and Mary for intercession. They make a big deal about shrines, etc., as do the Catholics. The Protestants do not.

However, of the shies I know personally, very few "call upon" anyone other than God, and those are the older folks. Same for Catholics. Most don't pray to Mary or the Saints anymore, mostly just the older folks (although some younger ones still do).

No personal judgments, just the facts as I see them.

Yes for Shiai, they are the same as Catholics in terms of Imam/Pope. Pray tell me what is the difference between Khomaini and the pope of the Catholics? aren't they both sacred and "KNOW BEST" for both sects? aren't they both Holy? Catholics pray for Mary to intercede and the Shiai pray for Ali and imams to intercede. As for Protestants and Sunni, they are the same in terms of the relationship between the man and his God. Protestants pray to Jesus peace be upon him directly as some Christian friends tell me, and Sunni pray to Allah and do not believe in intercession.

In Islam there is nothing like Sunni Islam or Shina Islam , making sects is clearly forbidden in Islam.
