Default Isn't Protestantism just another branch of Catholicism?

I say this because the central doctrine of Catholicism is the Mystery of the Trinity. It is the same for most Protestant Churches. Also they both worship Jesus Christ, which is an incorrect name and title. The true name is Yehowshuwa, and his title was the Messiah, it was the messiah that they were waiting for, not the Christ. Now I know that some of you would say that the name Jesus is just an English translation of the Hebrew name Yehowshuwa, but wouldn't Joshua be a better translation, like it is translated in the OT?
Iesous the Greek translation of Yehowshuwa is totally a mistranslation. It is pronounce surprisingly like Zeus the Greeks chief god. The people in Palestine spoke Aramaic which quite similar to Hebrew, so the Greek translation is inaccurate.
Protestantism is working for the Catholic Church to push the incorrect name Jesus Christ. If Luther really went against the Catholic Church, don't you think they would have killed him, like they did with any heretics. They are Jesuits playing both sides, "The end justifies the means" that is how they have captured the souls of many.

CLARIFICATION: "Jesus is just an English translation of the Hebrew name Yehowshuwa, but wouldn't Joshua be a better translation, like it is translated in the OT?"

Not necessarily. The New Testament, including the accounts of the life of Jesus, were written in Greek. And Greek transliterates the Hebrew name to IHSOUS -- which then transliterates into English as Jesus. So, as often happens during translation, there are difficult choices to be made that can leave the naive reader confused in either case.

For example, in the KJV Bible, the Old Testament name Elijah also appears as "Elias" in the New Testament. Why? Part of the answer would be that there is no "j" sound in Greek. (I can write much more but this is sufficient to make the point.) So should the translator follow the original text very closely/literally OR pursue the main intended meaning and go with a SINGLE commonly understood form of the name Elijah? Because if both Elijah and Elias get used, won't some readers think that two different people are involved???

BUT AS TO YOUR MAIN QUESTION: A case could just as easily be made for classifying Protestantism and Catholicism as simply branches of Christianity -- especially if one accepts Luther's original explanation of his objectives. He was trying to create a new religion or "branch" of the religion. He said that he was trying to REFORM the Christianity of his day back to its original roots and Bible-based doctrines. Therefore, the debate which followed was about what it meant to be truly Christian in thought and practice. Indeed, in Luther's view, it could be argued that HIS brand of Christianity was closer to the original doctrine of the Apostles and he considered Roman (Papal) Catholicism an "offshoot" of the true/correct Christianity which it had corrupted. [I'm simplifying a process as to his theology that took a period of years and not the original intent.]
===================

Based on your added details note, I get the impression that you are confusing the concepts of translation and translation. (Yes, closely related but not the same thing.)

Unfortunately, even a lot of preachers/priests/others give their audiences the impression that translation is a more rigid and "mathematical equivalence" process than it really is. So I always impress upon students an appropriate respect -- and empathy! -- for the complexities of the process.

In essence, yes, but a branch that has completely rejected the rest of the tree, which is only fair because it had become as rotten as anything.

Unfortunately they had forgotten that a bad tree CAN?T spawn good fruit, so they ended up as corrupted as their mother tree.

Protestantism is a reforming of the church and of itself according to what is revealed in the bible.

Joshua is archetypalALf Jesus and using different names reduces any confusion.

No. As much as I'd like that to be true, it cannot be. Protestants broke away from Christ's Church in the 1500's when Martin Luther led his band of rebels against the Church in the Protestant Rebellion.

This also cannot be true because the Catholic Church cannot have "subdivisions". It is the One, Holy, Catholic, Apostolic, and True Church that was established by Jesus. It is God's universal gift to all His people; and under it, all Catholics are within one unity. Unlike the many Protestant sects, there always has been, is, and always will be ONLY One Catholic Church.

As for the naming of Jesus, it really doesn't matter exactly how the name is pronounced, does it? After all, we're not worshiping the NAME, we're worshiping GOD! Plus, in other languages, Jesus' name is given in many other spellings.

The 1st answer is yes, here is a statement from Ratzinger:
Rome claims to be the mother of all churches. At the entrance of St John Lateran church there is a huge Latin inscription "SACROS LATERAN ECCLES OMNIVM VRBIS ET ORBIS ECCLESIARVM MATER ET CAPVT" This means Sacred Lateran Church Church mother and head of all the churches of the city and the world. The Catechism of the Catholic Church calls the Church Mother and Teacher. In September 2000, the Vatican issued a statement titled "Dominus Iesus," in which Cardinal Ratzinger said: It must always be clear that the one, holy, Catholic and apostolic universal church is not the sister, but the mother of all the churches.
Revelation 17:5 And upon her forehead a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
All the churches that have come from her , and that is all of them, are called harlots, so the Protestant churches are all called harlots in Revelation, and this is because they all are using the wrong names the same as the catholic church is doing. They are all gone astray, and not following the Almighty Yehowah. The Messiah Yehowshuwa said in,
John 5:43 I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.
Two billion people (2,000,000,000) have received Jesus Christ the false Messiah as their savior.
I hope this answers your question.

People are being led to the slaughter and blindly following. To call God's word a lie, on the say of some man or church, is making the utmost mistake in all the world. Here is what God said about Jesus: (and you all best stop calling God a lie on the say of some man, when you do not know what you are talking about.)

Ac 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the NAME of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Ac 3:6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the NAME of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.

Ac 3:16 And his NAME through faith in his NAME hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.

Ac 4:7 And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, By what power, or by what NAME, have ye done this?
Ac 4:10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the NAME of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.
Ac 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other NAME under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

No other name under heaven whereby we MUST BE SAVED. So you are all on dangerous grounds accepting some man's word and calling God a lie.

Now this is only a tiny sampling of such verses. If all this much is wrong with the precious King James Scripture, then it could not be of God. then what have you left?

Now as to the other question. Jerusalem is the mother church. Jerusalem is the mystery Babylon. and that is why she is hid, because it is a big mystery.

If you don't believe this, just go compare Exodus with Revelation 18. The very same description. No other thing in earth so perfectly fits that description of Babylon, as that tabernacle which the Israelites built in the wilderness.
When God turned to Church, old Jerusalem saw this and went into the mystery pagan church and set up the Catholic church as its headquarters. Then she had other branches ; other daughters; yes, the protestants.
Yes they all teach the false trinity doctrine. Except one which got even worse and claims that Jesus is the Father, the son and all there is. Satan sure pulled a slick one there.

But see they ALL without exception teach the FALSE GOD, AN INCARNATE GOD. There is no such thing. Scripture does NOT teach such a thing. It is a lie, an invention of Rome.

but actually they did not invent it; they just took it from their mystery Pagan religion into their mystery Babylon church, the Catholic.

Now this is the truth which is solidly pr oven in God's Holy word. All those churches are of that pagan ancient Israel idol worshiping Israel. It goes from Eden to the end of this world. But it is the same old evil spirit of Adam, seeking worship. Jesus said, in Matt 23, that Jerusalem is guilty of ALL THE RIGHTEOUS BLOOD SHED ON THIS EARTH. The same thing is said of Babylon in Rev. So they have to be the same one. No two could be guilty of ALL SHED BLOOD.

You who denounce the name of Jesus Christ have no chance of salvation, for you do denounce the only name God gave us to be saved by. It is the only name we may heal the sick by or raise the dead by. My car was miraculously turned totally around in the road by God to keep me from wrecking, when I called the name of JESUS. That was all it took.
And many other such miracles have come to me just using that precious name of JESUS CHRIST.

Yet those pagan churches do worship a false 'Jesus'. The one who has that birthday party every Dec. 25, is not the true Jesus. But there is a true Jesus, and he is God's Son. He is not an incarnate god, for there is no such thing. Now I know this is long, but it is the only way to rightly answer this. If you desire truth, you won't mind.
