I don't get Protestantism...."believe in God & you are saved"...?
You know the demons also believe that Jesus was the Son of God, but their faith does not and will not save them. Why do people ignore the Early Christianity & do not want to seek it? Why are they too blind to see the flaws in their faith that is, in some cases, a couple of hundred years old? Why are there cults like Mormonism & JW's that teach the complete opposite of what Christ Himself taught? Why are people so blind? It just doesn't seize to amaze me, every time I'm on this site, there are so many misguided people on here that are part of Catholicism, Protestantism, & other cults that will eventually end you up in hell.

Because the answer is all you have to do is have honest faith in God and you are saved. No strings attached. The reason why demons cannot be saved is that they were angels that were already in heaven and they made a choice to hate God and were thrown out. Hence the need for the flood that eventually happened. Mormonism and JW are cults. People want power and are willing to deceive everyone else to get it and that is what happened with Catholicism.
Tradition, rituals, and practices filled the world when Jesus came to earth. Even Jews had ritual practices. This ended when Jesus died. He just didn't die for the Jews. Jesus ended the mindless systems of ritual, tradition, and practices that really didn't do anything for those doing them. Today ritual, tradition, and practices are starting to creep back in vogue for many people and the lessons that Jesus taught us are now being held onto by only those people who do not hold to a certain practice, ritual, or tradition of worship. So all though it seems too simple, really belief is all you need. Anything more has a chance of turning into some mindless ritual.
The Eucharist or communion is special and should be held as such BUT it will loose its potency if ritualized. It can't be treated special within the confines of to days churches. The same as the authorized offerings of animals through the Torah lost its effectiveness because the heart of the Israelites had left God. God no longer wanted sacrifices of this kind.
Mormons and JW's do not have the true word of God they corrupted it. The demons that corrupt people do so through the evil works of the Devil and they dint truly believe in the fact that Chirst Jesus died on the cross the death of a tyrant for our sins.
