I'm a protestant I guess... it's like this. We believe we are born into a 'sinful nature' and the bible says that 'all have sinned'. So whether we're born with a sin or not.. regardless, Jesus Christ is the only atonement for our sins... and we all have sinned.

It is life, it is the life of Christ and of every Saint; in this capacity they are in us and we in them. We must be possessed of the spirit that governs and controls the angels, we must have the same spirit within us that our Father in heaven is in possession of.

It may depend on the denomination. As far as I know most do. I know Lutherans do, otherwise, I'm not sure.

Original sin in the way that you mean it is held near universally in the West. Protestantism retained it from its Catholic origins. The East believes in original sin but views it in a different context.

Do you really even understand original sin, I think few understand the true meaning. Since Adam sinned, he became imperfect and sinful, Adam passed that onto all of his offspring, everybody without exception. For as the Scriptures say that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, Romans 3:23. Romans 5:12 says That is way, just as through one man sin entered the world and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men because they had all sinned.

Protestantism is made up of literally hundreds of Christian sects, each with their own set of doctrines.

With very few exceptions (mostly to do with the Pope), if a Christian doctrine exists, at least one major Protestant sect teaches that doctrine. Several major Protestant sects teach a doctrine of Original Sin.
