I think if you line up Mormonism, protestantism, Catholicism and Judaism with Judaism as the oldest, it appears religion is devolving, not evolving.

Catholicism is the most mature of all those claiming Christianity. Most Protestant and so called Restorationist ecclesiastical groups are less than two hundred years old. The Protestors of the Church did not appear until the sixteenth century. Therefore they have not reached a level of scholarship approaching the Catholic Church having rejected much of the teaching, all of the history and other preceding scholarship.

Catholic Christianity has not done the same but has embraced the history of Judaism and the scholarship of those who preceded them. God bless!

No, the Catholics evolved from Judah's ,...any one other christian religion evolved from Catholicism, protestants , each one are different from the other and many of the same teach and believe differently from congregation to congregation, But the Roman Catholic Church is the same world wide and believes and teaches the same world wide

The farther you move away from Judaism, the more restrictive the faith and practices. Just because something is newer, dies not make it better. Especially when it comes to religion.
