yes
1, but the trinity
Church, or do you mean the name of my church.

The person below me is right, Protestantism is a large group of sects and I personally can only speak for northern Baptists and even just my church maybe.

"Protestantism" isn't a religion. It simply refers to those Western European Christians, and their descendants throughout the world, who "protested" against the Roman Catholic Church beginning in the early 16Th Century. Even during the wars of religion in the 16Th and 17Th centuries, the Roman church recognized Protestants as Christians, although it regarded them as heretical Christians. The Vatican now recognizes them as belonging to independent "occlusion communities" (whatever that phrase means).

Grace be unto you and peace.

You're acting like Protestantism is some form of Mormonism (the second 'm' is optional...).
We Protestants believe in the same things as Catholics. Minus the rituals and transubstantiation and the saints or whatever. We don't add anything ridiculous like the Mormons.
The idea of Protestantism is just having a closer relationship with Jesus/God.
In the words of the *GREAT* Martin Luther:
Salvation is achieved through faith and faith alone, not through indulgences and ritualism.

1. the trinity (God, Jesus, and Holy Spirit together)
2. The Lord's prayer... maybe? we just pray otherwise.
3. going to church on Sunday, and having communion at least once in a year, celebrating Easter and Christmas, coming to church on good Friday... but some depend on the church you're going to.
4. hm mm.... Wat does venerate mean? but we just see Mary as the mother of Jesus.
5. similar to #3... but some serious protestants have quiet time every morning and devotion time every evening. and oh ya we pray before each meal.
6. Bible
7. the thing where you have to touch your head, chest and each shoulder? nope we don't do that.
8. we believe in the trinity, but we don't necessarily call it the holy trinity.
9. one- the trinity, they are three in one.
10. my own church? Immanuel Presbyterian church

Protestantism is not a single religion, nor do Protestants come together as a single "Church," rather the term Protestantism refers to the many Christian faiths that deviate from Catholicism.

Roughly five centuries ago, European reformers decided the Catholic Church was not following the Bible closely enough and that it was not honoring the messages of Jesus Christ. They decided to split from the Church and pursue different faiths.

Today, many Christians are Protestants, but that is just setting them aside from Catholics. They are further divided into other branches of Christianity, and follow many different paths and tenets.

So while they have many resemblances to Catholics, it would be inappropriate to group them all together and give general answers to these questions.
