Neither. Religion is a cult. If you want to worship a god do it on your own terms. Don't follow someone Else's ideals. They're biased and hypocritical.

Uhhh... I pick Jesus.

This bipartisan political mambo jumbo is all well and good if you have time in your life to be distracted by it. As a Christian, Christ and His gospel are the key. Draw close to Christ, He is the best to follow!

Protestantism. For a start they don't have an "infallible" Megesterium, so that gives them greater freedom to admit they can be wrong. And since they don't have that same Magesterium, they are less prone to making up doctrines as they go along. For Protestants, anything which cannot be inferred from the Bible has no place in Christian theology.

Contrary to what Paul Allen said above, I don't know of any Protestant denomination which doesn't have the Eucharist.

Great question! Though you might want to keep doing research. As a warning and reminder, just understand that between the 2ND to 3rd century (100 A.D - 300 A.D) Christianity began to loose its true quality and standard of worship and began to integrate false doctrine while spreading.

"From early times Christians recognized that their organization, the Church would prosper only if it was united. They also felt that Christian teachings had to be stated clearly to avoid differences of opinion that might divide the church. Consequently, Christians turned to important religious thinkers who attempted to explain many Christian beliefs. Between A.D 100 and A.D 500 various scholars known as Church Fathers wrote books explaining Christian teachings. They greatly influenced later Christian thinkers." - World History, National Geographic Society

Jesus told his followers (the first Christians) at Matthew 7:15-20:
15 ?Be on the watch for the false prophets that come to YOU in sheep?s covering, but inside they are ravenous wolves. 16 By their fruits YOU will recognize them. Never do people gather grapes from thorns or figs from thistles, do they? 17 Likewise every good tree produces fine fruit, but every rotten tree produces worthless fruit; 18 a good tree cannot bear worthless fruit, neither can a rotten tree produce fine fruit. 19 Every tree not producing fine fruit gets cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Really, then, by their fruits YOU will recognize those [men].

The apostle Peter said at 2 Peter 2:1-4

However, there also came to be false prophets among the people, as there will also be false teachers among YOU. These very ones will quietly bring in destructive sects and will disown even the owner that bought them, bringing speedy destruction upon themselves. 2 Furthermore, many will follow their acts of loose conduct, and on account of these the way of the truth will be spoken of abusively. 3 Also, with covetousness they will exploit YOU with counterfeit words.

2 Peter 3:17,18:

YOU, therefore, beloved ones, having this advance knowledge, be on YOUR guard that YOU may not be led away with them by the error of the law-defying people and fall from YOUR own steadfastness. 18 No, but go on growing in the undeserved kindness and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him [be] the glory both now and to the day of eternity.

Also when you get a chance read (Acts 20:39,30)

Jesus said by their fruits you will be able to identify the true followers - Matthew 7:15-20. So basically by the way they live and conduct their life following the course of Jesus, you will be able to discern the best organization to follow. Original bible scriptures may be true of Catholicism, but It may be wise to observe which organization is closely following the footsteps of Christ. (Actions speak louder then words)

I know this isn't what you asked for but by reading these articles, they will help you to identify true worship that God would approve.

Also its my personal recommendation to try studying with Jehovah's Witnesses for about 6 months and they will teach you bible truths in order that you may be a true follower of Christ. If you don't like it you can always do something else.

Thanks for reading! : )

You have your choice of Catholicism or picking through 38000 sects looking for an answer. A lot of these sects are on the fringes of Christianity More are not even christian but claim to be so for their own nefarious purposes.

One Protestant denomination can can be very different from another. They're often lumped together for convenience. I do it too.
You have a lot of thinking, studying and praying to do. Try to get objective information. Some material is very slanted, containing half truths and outright lies. One source I like is William A. Jurgens' The Faith of the Early Fathers, Vol. 1, 2, 3. These books aren't page turners by any means, but they're objective, and useful references.
Also, get a Bible with the Deuteronomy in it. I recommend the RSV-RCE.
