Not much really. Catholicism has more rituals than Protestantism but they both fail to portray the correct relationship with Jesus Christ that the Bible suggest we should have.

Catholics have confession, which means they can purge their sins. Protestants do not which means they carry their sins throughout their lives. Hence, the Catholic is more light hearted in general. The Catholic belief is that, most people will go to heaven and that God is generally happy and WANTS to forgive them.

The protestants tend to be a bit more 'fire and brimstone' in their approach, with most people going to hell.

Catholics also believe in the pope as speaking directly to God. The protestants reject this, believing that anyone can speak directly to God.

Cathocolism has more strict rules they
> believe strongly in moral absolutes, IE. ten commandments
>believe strongly in the natural law
>contraception - Only natural methods, like rhythm method
>divorcing - Against it strongly, can only get annul ed under strict rules
>Generally take a more fundamentalist view

Whereas Prodestants are more relaxed on issues liker
>contraception - P's can use any contraception if both agree
>divorcing - Can get divorced and remarry if Vicar agrees too
>marriage
>euthanasia etc..
>Generally they take a more liberal view on Christiantiy

Really no difference at all considering they both teach a false doctrine. ONLY Jesus Christ hung on The Cross, and has ALREADY forgiven sins once and for all. God bless everyone!

The Prostestants were once Catholics and they protested some of the beliefs of the Faith and left the Church. They removed several books from the Bible which addressed some of the teachings that they were rejecting. Specifically the ones regarding divorce. There was a King who wanted a divorce and could not get one because he was Catholic hence the protestant revolution began. Other teachings rejected were confession to a priest, veneration of Mary and other Saints. The list has grown over the years and depending on which denomination. God Bless...

about 90 percent of protestants follow the teachings of the catholics. Sunday worship is a man made day of worship. God created the sabbath Saturday at creation week 2,500 yrs before the first Jew ever lived on earth. Constantine in 333 a. d. made Sunday worship a law punishable by imprisonment or even death is not followed. the catholic church brought forth life after death. there are many, many things the protestants do that the catholic church originated. simply because the protestant churches broke off from the mother church the catholic church. they do not want to admit it. and many of them will tell you that the old testament means nothing or was done away with at the cross. actually the only thing done away with at the cross was the mosaic laws. The ten commandments were sealed in the arc of the covenant and preserved unto this very day. those that have changed God's word to fit there lifestyle instead of changing their lives to fit God are simply saying they are ashamed of God and His ways.

Catholicism is the only true church that Christ established. protestantism was created by selfish desires of men. they do not have the same apostolic succession Catholicism had when Christ gave powers to his 12 apostles. Whoever says Catholicism is wrong, should rethink and go figure.
God bless.
