Default I'm thinking of converting to a new religion, Protestantism, Catholicism, or Atheism.

and why should I choose it? Somebody please help me with this. I am so confused, and looking for what's true in this crazy messed-up world.

Atheism isn't a religion... Technically, neither is Protestantism.
I guess you're gonna be Catholic.

Atheism is not a religion, however it's better then being either of the other two things.

Why not just choose Jesus. Only He holds the truth..

John 14:6
Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Protestant or Catholic.

Jesus loves you so much that He died for you! The truth is that you could never get into Heaven on your own merits. You are sinner, and the punishment for sin is hell.

But Jesus took the punishment that you deserve! He suffered so that you don?t have to. And the Bible promises that as long as you truly believe that, you can be forgiven, and get into Heaven even though you do not deserve it! And God keeps His promises!

Isn't that wonderful?!

It's really simple, actually. What do you believe in? Do you believe there is some kind of god out there? If so, you're clearly not an atheist. If yes, then you need to examine your beliefs more specifically.

Atheism (although it's not a religion). We have the logic.

Or... Pastafarianism. That's a really good option. And they have lots of fun.

those are all completely different religions. First figure out what you believe. But Atheism is the easiest in life.

Atheism isn't a religion as I'm sure you know. I wouldn't recommend any of the above, i would recommend you think for yourself.

You can convert to Islam because its the religion of truth and this proof is Nobel Quran. Holy Quran have several Scientific Miraculous.

Big Bang:

"A new start forming out of a cloud of gas and dust (nebula), which is one of the remnants of the "SMOKE" THAT WAS THE ORIGIN OF THE WHOLE UNIVERSE" [The Space Atlas, Hearther and Hencest, page 50]

1500 years Ago Allah Almighty says this in Holy Quran:

"Then He(God) turned to the Heaven when it was SMOKE..." [Quran, 41:11]

Only Islam claims that the universe was originated from Dust, and Hot Gas, or Smoke!

Its really interesting to know that the Big Bang Theory suggest that the Universe is still expanding until today, because this is EXACTLY what Allah Almighty also claimed in Holy Quran:

"And the firmament, We constructed with power and skill and and verily WE ARE EXPANDING IT" [Quran, 51:47]

The word "Samaa" was used for "firmament". "Samma" as I mentioned above means either "heaven", or "Universe" depending on how it is used. Certainly, the meaning word "Samma" in Quran 51:47 is "Universe"

So here its mentioned about the Universe.

Note: In Quran God referred Himself as "We" its plural royality.

See >> "verily WE ARE EXPANDING IT(Universe)" [Quran, 51:47]

According to Big Bang Theory and Modern Science the Universe still Expanding! Allah Almighty says it 1500 years ago in Holy Quran!

An important point:

God Almighty says in Quran: "And when the heaven splitteth asunder and becometh ROSY LIKE PAINT" [Quran, 55:37]

The explosion of galaxies are shaped like roses mentioned in Quran and confirmed by modern Science! See the several photo from NASA what showing "Rose-shape" galaxies! Please click this link to see those picture http://www.answering-christianity.com/galaxy_explosion.htm

More proof about Rose-Shape Galaxies Please click this link http://www.answering-christianity.com/paint_in_space_miracle.htm

"It is HE who created the Night and the Day, and the sun and the moon: all (the celestial bodies) rotate, each other in their celestial spheres" [Quran 21:33 from Yushuf Ali]

"(God is) the one who created the night, the day, the sun and the moon. Each one is traveling in an orbit with its own motion" [Quran, 21:33]

"And the earth, moreover, hath He made egg shaped" [Quran, 79:30]

This verse in Arabic "Waal-arda baAAda thalika Dahaha" [Quran, 79:30]

Here Arabic word "Dahaha" is derived from "Dahhyah" which means "Egg"

The Arabic word for egg here is dahaha which mean an ostrich-egg. The shape of an ostrich-egg resembles the geo-spherical shape of earth.

Thus the Quran correctly describes the shape of the earth, though the prevalent nation when the Quran was written revealed was that the earth flat. So Quran is truth.

Quran says Moonlight is reflected Light:

Science now tell us that the Light of the moon is reflected light. However this fact was mentioned 1500 years ago in Quran!

"Blessed is He Who made Constellations the skies, and placed therein a Lamp and a Moon giving Light." [Quran, 25:61]

"See ye not how Allah has created the seven heavens one above another, And made the moon a (reflecting) light in their midst, and made the sun as a Glorious Lamp?" [Quran, 71:15-16]

"Did you see how Allah created seven heavens, and and above the other, and made in them the moon a light and the sun a Lamp?" [Quran, 78:12-13]

The Quran distinguishes between them by the use of different terms: Light (Noor) for the Moon, and Lamp (Siraaj) for the Sun.

In Arabic word Noor mean: "be revealed, TO RECEIVE LIGHT, to be lighted"

This is clearly mean reflecting to light, because it RECEIVES LIGHT FROM SUN and it is lighted and revealed by it.

"It is He who made the sun to be a shining glory and the moon be a light (of beauty)." [Quran, 10:5 from Yushuf Ali]

Why Quran not says moon also a shining glory unto sun? The verse have clear difference between sun and moon lights. This mean He created the sun with its shining light, and the moon with its reflected light.

Now we know moon have no lights and its the reflected light from sun. Quran says same 1500 years ago.

"Do the unbelievers not realize that the heavens and the earth were Joined together, then I clove them asunder and I MADE EVERY LIVING THING OUT OF WATER" [Quran, 21:30]

This is a dramatic affirmation of the modern idea that the origin of life is aquate. Now we know Cytoplasm 95% is water.

You cannot lend yourself out like this and let someone else take your choice from you. I know it isn't fun making choices about things like this and the tendency is to either not decide, or let an "expert" decide for you...but this is not one of those areas in life where you can just accept an answer. You have to do the homework that makes you arrive at an answer. Just ask yourself "what is true" or "what seems true" and pursue that as far as humanly possible. If you find yourself believing in God, then make it known through prayer etc that you can only do so much and God needs to help you or else you will be lost. If you decide that you cannot believe or do not care, also make sure you know what you find that leads you to that conclusion. My experience is that most people oscillate between the 2 in their search, but me or anyone else telling you what we believe and what you should believe, regarding this subject, is useless to you unless you do the work to arrive at your own conclusions. Best to you.

Atheism is not a religion; it is a singular belief. Is pro-choice a political party?

But if you are looking to change your existential viewpoint on the question of deities, then by all means choose atheism.

The only way you can find out is by studying the religions you are interested in. Then you can decide for yourself. People on here will only tell you what they believe and that you should believe it too.

I will be praying for this because it isn't just you that struggles with the debate over religion and your spirituality. I'm personally a Christian and i can tell you from experience that you can feel a weight lifted from your shoulders once you accept Jesus Christ in your life. Just ask around like through friends and family where a good church would be and make sure to speak to the pastor of the church for different reasons to accept the faith. Don't forget to stand strong and i hope and pray that you will discover the love of Jesus Christ.

"Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am." (John 14:1--3)

Atheism is not a religion. It is specifically the antithesis to religion.
