Default What are some advantages and disadvantages of Catholicism and Protestantism?

I feel that Catholicism contains many more holy rituals and traditions than Protestantism, which is a good part of it, but Protestantism tend to be much more progressive on technically changing the lifestyle of a typical person.

I got to learn much more about the contents of the Bible and apply it to my daily life by know ledges I obtained through Protestant teachings.

But as for Catholic, when I attended the mass and took part of the holy communion, it was so impressive to me that my heart melted, making me feel the love of Christ who have shed his blood and flesh on the cross.

What do you think?

I think they're both insipid. I'll holler at God directly - don't need some Pedro in a robe or a schizophrenic book to guide me, thank you very much.

Catholicism teaches that Jesus isn't enough to get into heaven.

Because Catholicism adds works, Catholicism leads to hell, not heaven.

The truth about Jesus is that the only way to be saved and to get into heaven and avoid being sent to hell, is by believing in JESUS for His free gift of eternal life in heaven, believing in faith alone that Jesus, who is God, died on the cross for all our sins as FULL PAYMENT for all our sins, and then Jesus rose from the dead (1 Corinthians 15:1-4). Believe in Jesus for His free gift of salvation, and you will be in heaven, no matter what! John 3:16, John 6:47!

Salvation is a FREE GIFT that happens in a split second when you believe in JESUS for His free gift of salvation! It is impossible to lose or "leave" salvation (John 6:39-40, John 10:28, 1 John 5:13).

the Catholicism has advantages because it's the first church.. the Catholicism teaches the Bible in the mass, the Holy Communion is the real presence of Our Lord.. the protestantism accommodates the doctrines according to the pastor thoughts.. our rites and the tradition is not against the Bible.. it's an apostolic tradition following the first fathers of the church.. the catholic church itself historical and it's not a new church that came from another church like others.

I think you ought to begin studying the Bible from a Catholic perspective, since there is really no consistent protestant teachings on which to rely ... and to continue to fully, faithfully, and actively participate in ALL of the work, worship sacraments and devotions of the Catholic Church.

The advantages of Catholicism and Protestantism is that they both give you that Delusional Peace and false reason you've been looking for but got lazy to continue looking.

The disadvantage is that they're both false. Just like Pagan Religions, just like Abrahamic Religions.

Christianity has been split into over 38,000 different denominations, sects and cults setting christian against christian and Christians against everyone else!!

God's work? Hardly!!

It must be the Devil and the Antichrist working together to divide, conquer and destroy Christianity from the inside!!!

Protestants, read the Bible and profess their ways of obtaining salvation is the only correct method. It is distinctly written in the Gospels, that the only way, for the redemption and salvation of our souls for eternal life is by our acceptance of the Sacraments of Baptism, ? Mat. 28, 18-20; Absolution of sins Jon 20, 21-23 and the eating of the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ. Jon 6, 54-56.

In light of what is written in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, why have all the Protestant denominations ignored these passages of the Bible and removed themselves from the only true way for the Salvation for their souls. Those Sacraments are only offered in the Catholic Church.

You write that you attended Sunday Mass and part took of the Holy Communion, but you did not mention your Religious denomination? Holy Communion may only be taken by Roman Catholics who are in the state of Grace ( no mortal sins ). If you are not a Catholic and part take of the Holy Communion; you commit a sacrilege, which brings self-condemnation to your soul.
