I don't think of religion in terms of "superpowers", so I would have to disagree with your statement.

I think Catholicism is pretty much in its death-throes. Ratzinger is destroying the Catholic Church faster than the Protestant Reformation ever could have.

Well, Catholicism is the religion that is losing followers the fastest, mostly in response to the newest Pope, Pope Benedict XVI.

I wouldn't say Islam is "extremely fragmented." There are 1.3 billion RCs in the world, and 800 million Sunni Muslims. So the Catholics have the lead, for the time being. But no single religion can claim an outright majority of the world's 6.7 billion people.

Technically, isn't "Catholicism" fragmented as well? Eastern, Armenian and Coptic Orthodox churches are "Catholic", and I know from personal contact with a few Pastors that some Protestants consider themselves "Catholic".
I assume you mean Roman "Catholicism". Well, it might have been the "superpower" once upon a time, but it is fading as time goes by.

The fact that that the media and non-Catholics are obsessed with all things Catholic is proof enough that Catholicism is the Religious World Superpower.

No. It is your wishful thinking. Islam is by far the largest denomination which has left Roman Catholicism far behind. Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world. Even Vatican has recognized this fact. Verify, if you do not believe me.

Well, when the Pope speaks (good or bad) in your opinion, does the world take notice? Does the Pope get to address the UN General Assembly, even though the Vatican is only an 'observer' status of the UN? If so, then yes, Catholicism is still a superpower.

It is the only one founded by Jesus Christ all others were founded by false prophets. It is the only true faith in my opinion.

Christianity (Mormons and Catholics included) make up the largest religion in the world at this time, about one third of the world population. Of those who call themselves Christian, Catholics are the biggest denomination. However, even though the protestants are extremely fragmented about 75% of them identify themselves as "Born Again" or "evangelical" and as they band together they seem to be the biggest Christian influence in America.
