does Jesus say go to the world and make your own church? I am catholic and I haven't understood how can make your own church? I have seen Pentecostalism or denomination churches are divided in many branches and many of them without any connection.. they try to follow the Bible but each church has different interpretation.. some churches accept women as pastors meanwhile others no.. and some churches celebrate Christmas and others reject that.. some churches have books for chants and others nothing..

division is what happens when each of them treat themselves as their own pope.

Different people interpret the bible differently, therefore there are so many different churches. It just depends on what you believe.

The interpretation depends on what man understands and depending on what the Holy Spirit will reveal to the person. Nothing wrong with making a different organization as long as divine revelation is regarded.

Protestantism is the result of people protesting against their parent "church" the Roman Catholics for introducing new doctrines and practices that were never part of the original apostolic faith.

Unfortunately, the result was also that they also followed in the same pattern because they don't really know what the original faith was and try to interpret the scriptures according to their own understanding, thus the diversity.

Even when the facts are shown through early Church documentation by apostolic appointed teachers of the faith, the majority of protestants reject them and call their writings the teachings of men, yet they themselves teach their own beliefs.

Plus of course its a good way to be seen as someone important and make lots of money, again like their mother Church did.
