Tell that to the Greek Orthodox Church -- they never had a pope either.

Actually, there are other theological differences between the Roman Catholic and Protestant denominations besides the issue of Papal Supremacy.

Yes "Yo Yo Mama", I know, but Greek Orthodox never recognized the supremacy of the Bishop of Rome, so your point seems irrelevant. Protestant denominations have their own leaders too. You seem to assume too much.

The reason for the reformation and Luther's 95 thesis was that Roman Catholicism had gone away from the Biblical teachings concerning salvation. They believe in salvation, justification and sanctification by works and the selling of indulgences. That was Luther's and the reformers beef with Catholicism. The trinity is Biblical, not Catholic dogma.

It wasn't the dogmas, it WAS the pope that was the problem.

The problem that Martin Luther faced at the beginning of the Reformation was the corruption that had spread through the Catholic church of his day. If you read up on the history of the Reformation you'll see what happened. The greatest benefit of the Reformation was that the Bible was translated in to the language of the common man, so everyone could read it, not just the clergy.

They changed a lot of the teachings.

Myth is a religion in which no one any longer believes, if people still believe it is not a myth. The Church of England did the same thing, kept the Catholic dogma got rid of the pope. It is very difficult to see the Pope as infallible, he is just a man, and I believe just like every other man subject to making mistakes.
