Default How does Methodism relate to Protestantism?

I've looked at a few articles before on paper and on line that Methodism is a part of Protestantism, and I can't seem to figure out how it relates to each other. I need some help.

Too long to answer your question. But I have a source for you to read on.

Christian church other than the Catholic Church and the Eastern Orthodox churches are usually considered as Protestantism.

Protestant is a classification of Christian denominations to differentiate from Catholics who also call themselves Christian. It's an all-encompassing term that won't provide you with solid data on any one denomination under that umbrella term. For that, you'll need to go ogle each one individually to get general data...won't give you specific since there are further distinctions among those denominations as well.

Does that help you? (example: go ogle Methodist. Presbyterian. Lutheran. Baptist. And so on..."Protestants" officially came out of the Reformation when groups broke away from the Catholic church, that's all.)

This depends on what you mean by 'relate'.
Protestantism is a collective term for all Christian denominations that are distinct from the Roman Catholic church. RC includes most orthodox faiths which believe in trans substantiation.

Protestantism is the rest and includes Baptists, Church of England (Episcopalian), Methodist, Church of God etc.
The similarities are numerous, it is the differences you want. Look up "tenants of faith" of the Methodists and other main line protestant religions and you will get the answer you are looking for.
