why do tn they attack Eastern Orthodox and Oriental Orthodox they have more iconoclasm an picture of Saint and Mary. They fully use the 2 council of Niceas which says Iconlsm should be used against the heretical second council of Hieera. Catholics are only the tip of the ice berg
you should attack them more because they have more icons we have less as compared to a schismatic orthodox Church
Have you been to an Orthodox Church you should then you should con side burning them down because to you they are worse than Catholics and shielded by the government
precisely i am providing these fretthinkers and loafters an attention to divert attention from the Roman Catholic Church
Because their unauthorized man made tradition didn't come into existence as a result of a rebellion against the Orthodox Church. It resulted from a rebellion against the Catholic Church. Therefore they feel pressured to show that the Catholic Church is BAD, in the hopes of somehow justifying that rebellion, which has resulted in thousands of conflicting man made churches - exactly the opposite of the plainly stated will of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ - "that they all may be ONE".
Of course, both the Orthodox and Catholic Churches absolutely condemn idolatry in every form.
Why *attack* anyone for any reason??? Why can't we just remember Christ's words and try our best to love one another?? You won't feel like attacking those you love. Peace!
Most Protestants have little or no contact with the Eastern or Oriental Orthodox churches. I imagine that many in the U.S. haven't even heard of them, so you're not going to get them interested. In contrast, there are many Roman Catholics in the U.S. and elsewhere where Protestants live. But most Protestants I know don't attack the Roman Catholic Church. We may think that some of their traditions like extravagant decorating and emphasis on Mary and the Saints sound like odd priorities, but it doesn't affect us, so we don't really care. Icons are a non-issue. (Conservative Muslims, who traditionally are very strongly against idols or other depictions, would have stronger disagreements.)
I'm always curious why people would hate religious art depicting the events of the Bible.
It is certainly ridiculous to imagine that artwork merits the anger God intended to be focused on idolatry, the worship of false gods, which was nearly always accompanied by orgiastic sex or infanticide. It seems that the understanding of some Bible readers is so shallow that they have trouble distinguishing an artwork from an idol. If they don't make this distinction, it is unlikely that they will understand much of anything else written in the Bible.
