Can anyone believe the Roman Catholics would have IPHONE confessions?

What would Jesus Do?
Do you go to Church After?
1. It doesn't take a phone app. The point is that most people have their phones on them and usually don't carry an Examination of Conscious. Thus, there is now one available on the phone so that you may prepare for Confession. IT IS NOT THE SACRAMENT OF CONFESSION, it is an Examination of Conscious!
2. It takes a priest because God said it takes a priest. God is the one who stated that the sins were to be forgiven through the priest. The priest is the conduit for God's forgiveness, it is God forgiving you through the priest.
3. Only God can forgive sins, the Church acknowledges this, but God can also state how the forgiveness of sins is to be done--which He did. He stated through the priesthood:

An Examination of Conscious can be found on line and in any Catholic church. The point of this is that the Church has said this is a legitimate Examination of Conscious by the Catholic Church. IT IS NOT THE SACRAMENT OF CONFESSION!!!
It's just a list of questions to help you see which sins were committed and where you are failing and need to improve. Here is an example of one on line:
The app is not designed to replace going to confession but to help Catholics through the act, which generally involves admitting sins to a priest in a confessional booth. Catholics still must go to a priest for absolution.
I could find no confirmation that this was approved by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops: http://www.usccb.org/
This would also seem to violate Canon Law, Canon 964 states:
1. The proper place to hear sacramental confessions is a church or oratory.
2. The conference of bishops is to establish norms regarding the confessional; it is to take care, however, that there are always confessionals with a fixed grate between the penitent and the confessor in an open place so that the faithful who wish to can use them freely.
3. Confessions are not to be heard outside a confessional without a just cause.

I've already answered this once today. The app merely helps Catholics examine their consciences in preparation for confession. Obviously, a phone can't stand in for a priest.
@ Catholic:ICCollow my link concerning the Church's blessing for this new app.
This article does nothing but illustrate a fact that should already be clear. The media has the power to fabricate whatever "truth" they want.
This does not replace The Sacrament of Reconciliation, or even just the "confessing" part of the sacrament. This is just an aid to help a person examine their conscious. Much like the reading material often found in Missals and in the back of Catholic Bibles, made to help people think about how they may have caused offense or what they could have done better, or how they can resolve to be a better person.
That article is just another *fine* example of the socially irresponsible media spreading what ever story they felt the need to run with, true or not.
