Default How cool would it be if the Roman Catholic Church were sued out of existence ?

What if all of the Vatican's resources could be attached to compensate the church's sexual molestation victims?
Well Ricky, you say there are 2 billion Catholics, I say there are 2 billion victims of the Vatican.
Maybe we could actually do something about population control if they had no resources to intimidate people about abortion and birth control.
Maybe women wouldn't be staying in abusive relationships if a bunch of misogynist freaks weren't out there threatening their eternal soul with silliness and telling them to have 14 kids so they can fill the pews and their pockets.

Canon Law has for centuries broken the Church up legally into millions of separate independent sections. You are not the first hater to appear on the horizon.

The Church really needs a good smack-down right now. A humbling, if you will. A return to its early Christian roots.

as per the New World Order, Vatican will be the Leader of the entire world in a matter of years. so our wishful thinking of suing this giant piece of trash will never materialized. it says so in the Bible and we can not stop that from happening. i do believe in the Bible.

Look, I am atheist and an ex-Catholic one at that so have no reason at all to defend it but you must get your head around the fact that catholics believe in a particular dogma and doctrine. Now imagine that the church had been sued for every single last piece of gold and brick, do you think that the millions of catholics in the world would suddenly say to themselves "my, I must become a Baptist/Methodist/insert whichever denomination you wish". So I think that you would not see the back of Catholicism no matter how much you would like to.

how cool Wu it be if the colonialist were sued out of existence for plundering the wealth out of all the other continents except Europe in the name of Christianity...........that Wu certainly solve most of the worlds problems right now.

Well you might not be able to sell the stolen art treasures the Germans stored in the basement but then they could be returned or placed in you see mus.
Can you believe the Germans thought they'd get them back?

Still, it would leave a power vacuum that would be filled by what?

They are set up in blocks known as Dioceses. They are actually incorporated separately , which so far has given the main church cover.

You would have to prove the real call came from outside the Dioceses and get a judgment against them directly. But even then, you couldn't go after assets in other Dioceses because the church doesn't legally own them.

Hmm....someone earlier asked the question "why are Jews always ridiculed...." Interesting how the Jews here are trashing the Catholics. Shalom to you with love from a Shiksa. Well done, you should be proud of yourselves; don't forget to add this to your Yom Kippur atonement ritual!

why do you hate the church so much? there are 2 Billion Catholics a small few did horrible things to kids, and need to go to jail, but what you post is like saying all Muslems need to pay for 9/11. The church over the past 2000 years has done much more good for humanity, then harm to people.

How about suing it for claiming to be a church whilst standing against what the true church of God should stand for and standing for what the true church should stand against?

The Vatican's resources are vast. Besides that, the Roman Catholic church contributes to a lot of charities and the like and losing all of that would not be a good thing. There are also countries where they are an important part of national life and they also have an important positive political role in some places. For instance, Communism only fell because of the Catholic Church. It's true that the child abuse scandal is appalling, but suppose it had happened in the late 1970s. The Cold War would still be happening, if there hadn't been a nuclear war, and millions more people would still be living in totalitarian regimes. We don't know what future good the Catholic church might do.

Oh yeah, all 650+ hospitals will close, the hundreds of orphanages would close and since the Catholic Church gives more to charity than any other nation or organization, even the United States does, no more feeding the worlds hungry....

yep your right that would be cool...

I will pray for you

I understand your concerns, however as Crazy stated, this church is foretold of in Scripture, they will be here til the end and then will suffer their demise, MANY seem to get away with great atrocities here on earth, but when all is said and done, ALL shall stand in judgment, vengeance will be His ....Peace/Love God Bless

You know what, I would welcome that. I would welcome my Church being made illegal. I would welcome the rest of the churches being made illegal, too.

You would see such a profound resurgence of faith. You would see people again willing to die for their beliefs, and that would be needed in the inevitable martyrdom that followed, Jojo. Because what begins with making people illegal ends with bloodshed.

You just may get your wish to have population control - anyone who wants babies to die wouldn't blink an eyelash at the systematic genocide of Catholics in specific or Christians in general.

Big time issue because you are dragging the other religious leaders AND CHURCHES of this world...
The state of the Catholic church depends on what the 1.2billion catholic Christians would do.
This bad new is only big in North America. In eastern catholics, e.g. eastern Europe and mid-east, it is NOT their topic for the day. Wake up and think GLOBAL.
I also came across some people are saying to the christian women: go forth and multiply and have 14 children, Cu's the Muslim could over populate and decimateTehe christians.

The Sanhedron tried that. It didn't work. They even had Jesus nailed to cross and killed as the lowest freak on earth, the scum of society; but he rose and strengthened His Holy Catholic Church. And the Gates of Hell will not prevail. However, your testimony of taking sides against Christ is noted. Fortunately, no number of lawyers can ever tap the true treasure of the Catholic Church, which resides in Our Lord and Savior. The souls of the faithful living and dead. Untouchable by man. But enjoy your fantasy!! Then repent and come back to the Catholic Church. We need you. You can even keep your 30 pieces of silver. Really! Hang in there now.....
