Only if it introduces some radical changes to its core principles.

99% of all RC people will let it go so they can get on with being saved, that's more important than justice to them.

The Roman Catholic Church never proclaimed authority over the peoples morality---it is Jesus working through his Church that does.

Did it regard itself as the authority over people's morals?

Isn't that God's place, and His alone?

Then the Roman Catholic Church is the great es blasphemer in the Earth.

Who opposeThnd exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.
But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end.

We're all responsible for our own morality, not the churches, not religion. There are moral atheists, you do know that, right?

they never had any authority. they encouraged immorality so that silly folks would confess to some man and then the man, and the RC, had something to hold over their head and blackmail them with.

now the shoe is on the other foot and the deeds have been seen in the light of day. watch how they handle this.

It's getting rather late for the Catholic Church to regain confidence from the people. They lost too many chances in the past to take actions against the pods. Homosexuality has survived often on in that religion, in fact it's been a religion of men, period.

No, definitely not.
You cant expect people to follow leaders who abused their position of power and trust. They should sort out their own morality. My morality is just fine. My conscience is clear... can "our leaders" say the same?
The people have no faith in the RCC anymore. After all the scandals, cover-ups etc they just cant be trusted.

This is an example i give to try and make people understand what its like:
If a convicted child molester said to you "Abuse of children is a sin for which you will go straight to hell" Why would you listen? Would you let him be your leader? I mean he res a convicted child molester who has abused children, preaching and telling you what to do.

The RRC leaders have no right to control our morals or judge us when we have sinned when they have used up every sin in the book all by themselves.

Sure.
Why not?
Look in the real world.
Decode this lyrics " You'll see "
"Wonderful world"
"Don't know much"
"Jesus to a child"
""Masterpiece"
"Torn between two lovers"
Not recall the test model?
The old model must be obsolete?
Send back to workshop?
For servicing and maintenance work?
Tracing if the DOS had been left out in time?
Upgrade it with latest finishing?
Then pass quality control with OK label?

This question does not "get bit"
The core faith of us Catholics, is not cent red on misjudgments
or ineptitude. We have always had some millstone candidates
but the deacon ate of the church is to be found in the corporal
works of mercy so uniquely exercised by it's agencies.
Biblically. the cockle of the corn is eventually sorted.
