Default VISITATION REPORT Roman Catholic Church (Christianity)?

I have a report due sometime next month and I have an assignment (university RLG course) in which I must visit a religious institution other than my own, witness a ritual or worship service and interview a religious specialist (Priest). I have chosen to go to a Roman Catholic Church to do my report on. How would I address the pastor or whoever Ill be speaking to on the phone or in person for permission of admission? What should I wear? What are things I should go prepared with? and will I be allowed to observe? Those who are Roman catholic or familiar with this please help me out.

Thanks
I was thinking of going on a Sunday (Sunday prayers)

For Catholics, you ask for the Monsignor or Father and when speaking always address them with their title. Tell them what you want and need and they will provide.

You will Address all of my anointed priests as FATHER and then ask him to set up a meeting between the both of you which will happen at the church or in his office and tell him what you are doing and make sure you dress professional.bring a note pad and a pencil and a good listening ear and what you are allowed to observe behind the scenes will be determined by him alone.
Hears a blessing and a our father prayed just for you.Practice the holy rosary, practice makes perfect.

I'm Protestant, but I've tried out the Catholic church a few times. It's OK to just show up for the worship service, which they call a mass. You can participate in some of it, like the singing and hearing the sermon, but you shouldn't touch the bowl of Holy Water or take communion as the Catholics say only Catholics should take the communion --- the bread and wine. It's about holiness and God's Holy Spirit being with those things. Just dress decent, like good shirt and pants. The priest is usually addressed "Father" but I didn't say that as I'm Protestant and the Bible says not to call anyone on earth your father.

<<VISITATION REPORT Roman <snip> permission of admission?>>

"Reverend (whatever his name is)". If you feel like being casual, you can address the priest as "Father (whatever his name is)".

Chances are, the first person that picks up the phone at the rectory will not be the priest but a lay-Catholic. You'll need to make an appointment if you want to interview the priest. That shouldn't be a problem.

<<What should I wear?>>

To the Mass/Interview?
Shoes, slacks, a nice shirt, sweater vest even.
You don't have to go all out, but do dress nice.

<<What are things I should go prepared with?>>

Perhaps some knowledge of what the Catholic Mass is about, so you're better able to understand the various elements of the Mass.

<<and will I be allowed to observe?>>

Absolutely. You don't even need permission for that. Just come in, sit down.
