Default Information about the roman Catholic church?

I'm doing a project for school about the Catholic Church, mostly centered in the middle ages. I need a site that actually gives all the information, like who wrote it(I need OT be able to make a bibliography).

Im in European History and that's all we talked about for ages....i know that the Catholic Church was a big deal they were the main ones who controlled power and made political designs: such as electing the king and council. The church had all the power and if you were exiled from the church you were basically an outcast that nobody conversed with. Churches during this timer period (in Europe) where decorated fantastically with fresco's covering every inch of the walls including the ceilings they were huge and contained sculptures of only the finest works. Also they began to get creative with the way the churches were built (Gothic time period). The bigger the better. Before this the churches were very plain and contained little inside of them, the walls were white (you can find this in most Purtian societies). I guess thats about it....but if ur not learining about the history of europe in incredibly sorry just google it somebody is bound to hae info.

Try these two as a starting point:

http://www.thirdmill.org/newfiles/jac_arnold/CH.Arnold.RMT.1.html

http://www.middle-ages.org.uk/middle-ages-religion.htm

Also, Wikipedia articles can be useful if the article is properly footnoted with citations.

A summary of Catholic beliefs is contained in the Nicene Creed (from the year 325):

We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is seen and unseen.

We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, one in being with the Father. Through Him all things were made. For us and our salvation He came down from heaven: by the power of the Holy Spirit, He was born of the Virgin Mary, and became man. For our sake He was crucified under Pontius Pilate; He suffered, died, and was buried. On the third day He rose again in fulfillment of the scriptures: He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son. With the Father and the Son, He is worshiped and glorified. He has spoken through the Prophets. We believe in one, holy, catholic, and apostolic Church. We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen.

For a complete description of what Catholics believe, see the Catechism of the Catholic Church: http://www.usccb.org/catechism/text/index.shtml

With love in Christ.
