Leviticus 19:28 says "Do not cut your bodies for the dead, and do not mark your skin with tattoos. I am the Lord." HOWEVER, you must look at the verse in context. The passage in its entirety deals with the Lord forbidding Pagan practices; this was written in the day when tattoos were primarily a form of Pagan worship.
Romans 14:23 states that "everything that does not come from faith is sin." It sounds to me like you ARE thinking about your tattoo in good faith, and by those standards it does not seem disrespectful or sacrilegious.
