He doesn't, and never have had that power. That power belongs to God only. the pope is not
God, he is a man, he has to eat, sleep and poop in the same house, just like we do.

I was raised catholic and apparently the pope has some higher authority then all other men. He's still a man...but I guess higher on the Jesus pole? I have never heard of what you're talking about, but if you're referring to his statement about the Jews, I believe he was just giving an opinion on assertions by others that the Jews caused his death. He can't Andaman Antone's soul if heaven and hell is actually real...just a man we're talking about. So, he probably was just stating an opinion on history and it got worded wrong...guess the pop is a historian now. )

pope is trying to
snatch /or act like ...or misunderstood ...or intentionally
the power which ....is only ex cerise by GOD
rather ...violating the law of GOD......
2] what is the law of GOD
any nation teasing holy prophet .....
will be smashed ....to destruction
rather ...nation of holy sale ...murdered she camel
and GOD ....finished them all ,
though only 4 persons took part in that act
3] what happened to nation of holy Noah....
the great great floods......
4] nation of holy Yuan's ....begged forgiveness
and pardon was given ...on realization
5] HAD JEWS >>>>declare their collective seeking pardon.....
even then now the matter is in the court of GOD
how ruthlessly they misbehaved with HOLY MARY
teased terribly ....AL;l holy prophets
holy muss
holy Haroun
murdered ... holy trickery
salughtered holy yahya.....
6] they have not annouced any of such seeking pardon requests
or they should at least merged whole heartedly with christuianty
and should at least changed their temples as per christianity
but final words are of GOD Almighty

The sins of men killed Christ. When it comes to the church he has authority for church doctrines and morals. He is guide by the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ did not leave His church orphaned here on earth this is why He appointed us a pope.

Let's see...Christ tells us to forgive 7x77.

We are Christ's family and therefore should forgive those who murdered Him (just as it is up to the family of any murdered victim to forgive or not forgive the assailant).

Because the Pope is Christ's Steward on Earth (for more information please read up on the Davidic Kingdom and what being the Steward entailed) and therefore "what sins you retain are retained and what sins you forgive are forgiven."

Christ would certainly agree.

Well, first of all, Christ gave priests the authority to forgive.

Second, did I miss something? Did the Holy Father declare a pardon for the Romans? Certainly you must be aware that the Jews were not able to execute anyone.

Aren't you?

The Pope did not "pardon" the killers of Christ. He just said that the Apostles (who were all Jews) and Jesus' mother (who was a Jew) and millions of other innocent Jews in Israel at the time of Christ's execution were not responsible for it.

The New Testament clearly states that it was only a few Jewish religious leaders who arrested Jesus, tried and convicted him, and handed him over to the Romans for execution.

The Catholic Church officially teaches:

Neither all Jews indiscriminately at that time, nor Jews today, can be charged with the crimes committed during the Passion of Jesus Christ. The Jews should not be spoken of as rejected or accursed as if this followed from Holy Scripture.

When she delves into her own mystery, the Church, the People of God in the New Covenant, discovers her link with the Jewish People, "the first to hear the Word of God.

The Jewish faith, unlike other non-Christian religions, is already a response to God's revelation in the Old Covenant.

To the Jews "belong the son ship, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the worship, and the promises; to them belong the patriarchs, and of their race, according to the flesh, is the Christ" (Romans 9:4-5); "for the gifts and the call of God are irrevocable." (Romans 11:29)

For more information, see the Catechism of the Catholic Church, sections 597 and 839:

http://www.usccb.org/catechism/text/pt1sect2chpt3art9p3.shtml#839

With love in Christ.
