Default Roman Catholicism 1.2 Billion. One Leader. Largest Protestant Church, Anglican, 80 Mi

No, the Archbishop of Canterbury has NO say whatsoever outside of the boundaries of the UK.
Caolite

More Anglicans exist outside of the UK than within it.

Because Henry VIII wanted to get a divorce, and the Pope wouldn't let him. So Henry said, "Screw you," and started his own church, with himself at the head.

And H.M. The Queen is still the head of the Church of England, as the Supreme Governor of the Church of England. Canon law states that:

"We acknowledge that the Queen?s most excellent Majesty, acting according to the laws of the realm, is the highest power under God in this kingdom, and has supreme authority over all persons in all causes, as well ecclesiastical as civil."

the leader of the Anglican church is technically the head of England, AKA the king or queen. but the reason why is because Henry VIII split from the church after it would not annul his marriage

Jesus is our leader.

We don't rely on a mere man.

Protestants have leaders, in fact they have numerous leaders. So really if it comes down to a fight, the Pope is way outnumbered.

But if its the head of the Angelican church VS the head of the Catholic church then it's:

Actually, the Archbishop of Canterbury is the spiritual head of the Anglican Church.

He's just not a condom-hating petty tyrant, like DA Papa Benny.

HM the Queen is NOT the head of the Anglican Communion - just of the Church of England.

Because anytime and every time a "christian" gets pissed off, or inspired, they build a new church somewhere, and sometimes create a new denomination in the process. That's why threes no organization or leadership.

Power corrupts.

Just a guess. The leader of the RCC does have his own country and more (or equal to) gold than the pope.

The Anglican Communion also has a much less bigot ted opinion of gays and a view on equal rights for women that isn't hundreds of years behind the times.

Very few will find it,

I thought the reigning monarch of England was the leader of the Anglican church, and that there was a governing council of clerics.

______Simple, it's the money !____Follow it. ______

Also if a person thinks they can sin like hell all week and a priest tells that person just say a few hail Marys and all is forgiven... that's the place to be for many.

When a wife is obedient to her husband there is union, there is heaven, that is, there is one heaven, though it is a little one; and a righteous union is what will make a heaven.

The Church of England was built off of a sin. King Henry VIII wanted a divorce from his wife and the Roman Catholic Church denied him an annulment. The Pope is the successor of St. Peter the one appointed by Christ to lead his Church. The English Monarchy were sanctified by the Roman Catholic Church by the Pope. When King Henry VIII broke away from the Roman Catholic Church it was because of his cardinal desires.

No surprise that England is now a secular Christian nation.
