Default When does Lent for Roman Catholics end?

I've seen Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and Holy Saturday. Holy Thursday makes sense to me since it's the beginning of the Triduum, but does that mean that the Triduum is separate from Lent? Thanks.

I think always it was Good Friday but maybe I am wrong because I have not been to church for like 10 yrs. So probably I am a bad source for this...

Technically on Easter Sunday I think, since Ash Wednesday is 40 days before Easter Sunday. Saturday is the 40Th day from Ash Wednesday.

Actually I wonder if that's right, the Saturday is the 39Th day of Lent!

You're right, It ends at the end of Holy Wednesday - slash - the beginning of Holy Thursday. Holy Thursday is the beginning of the Triduum.

Lent ends at sunrise on Easter Sunday -- the time, according to Scripture, when Jesus rose from the dead.

The Thursday, Friday and Saturday before Easter have to be included to make up the count of forty days.

If you try counting the days for yourself, you'll find there are forty-six days, not forty, from Ash Wednesday until Easter Sunday. This is because the Sundays during the Lenten season don't count ... they are not days of fasting, repentance and penance, but days of normal Sunday observance. This is true of all Christian sects that observe Lent.

Lent comprises two parts, the first of which commences on Ash Wednesday, which is called in the liturgy "the beginning of the Holy Forty Days, and ends on Passion Sunday, while the second consists of the "great fortnight" known as Passiontide. Reckoning four Sundays in Lent, together with Passion and Palm Sundays, we find thirty-six fasting days, to which have been added the four days immediately preceding the first Sunday, in order to reach the number forty, "which originated with the Law and the Prophets and was hallowed by Christ Himself" (*note below). The Mass for Ash Wednesday, although under a different name, existed already in the Gregorian Sacramentary.

(*note) Moses representing the Law and Elias the Prophets, only approached almighty God on Sinai and Horeb after purifying themselves by a fast of 40 days. Exodus xxiv, 18, III Kings, xix, 18.

This is the Cycle of Easter which begins the Mystery of the Redemption
There are five Cycles to the Cycle of Easter:

Septuagesima: Septuagesima Sunday to Ash Wednesday,
Lent..............: Ash Wednesday to Passion Sunday,
Passiontide:....Passion Sunday to Holy Saturday.
Pachaltide:.....,Easter Sunday to Saturday after Pentecost.
Time after Pentecost:....Trinity Sunday to Advent
