Like many denominations, many of the practices of the Catholic Church are man made and umbilical. Priests CANNOT forgive you of sins. There is NO difference in sin, venial or mortal. It is idol try to worship Mary and the Saints. They gamble in their church.
The Roman Catholic Church is never specifically mentioned in the bible, compared to what they would like to believe. The christian church is mentioned many times, and even states where we were first called "Christians". As far as proofs, the Catholic Church believes many of the same things as protestants and Christian believers. What they can prove beyond the shadow of a doubt is what they believe from the Bible. The rest comes from "Tradition" or spoken word by the Pope which is taken as infallible, but it's still spoken by man and is not infallible. Even so, some of the things that Catholics claim to come from the bible are merely based on their perception and interpretation of that particular passage. It will change with each person, but the truth is still there. It's just how you see it that changes. Any other questions, probably want to go visit your local parish or priest.
The Roman Catholic Church is not written anywhere in the bible. A lot of their beliefs are tradition. They believe alto of what baptist believe such as how Jesus came as a baby through a virgin-born woman and died on a cross for us, and things like that- the basic stuff. They think you have to work your way to heaven. However, the bible says in Ephesions 2: 8,9 that by "Grace are you saved, through faith, that not of yourselves, it is the GIFT of God, NOT of works lest any man should boast". See, salvation is a gift, not something you have to work for. If the Roman Catholic Church was bible-based, then why do they keep changing their beliefs around? I mean, Catholics today believe differently then Catholic's from 50 years ago. Half of Catholic's don't own a bible either. I"m not against Catholic's- let no man misunderstand me. God loves them just as much as the next person, but their eyes can be opened to how they can have a personal relationship with Jesus, not just to "know about Him", but you can actually KNOW Him!!! What a wonderful gift!!! Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved.
There are no proofs in the bible! It is simply a book put together from a selection of scrolls. The majority of which are under lock and key at the Vatican.

We also have the great commission, and the irrevocable promises of Christ.
