Default Is Theravada Buddhism incompatible with Roman Catholicism?

Theravada Buddhism is a philosophy and Roman Catholicism is a religion.
I cannot see the conflict between them. God and Jesus I worship as well as the Bible. But I also believe that the Buddha taught about suffering which is basically sin and how to have a practical means to avoid it alongside prayer to God.
What do Pol think?

In fact they are entirely compatible, just as a stripped-down version of Zen is found expressed as "Zen Catholicism" (just go ogle it if you don't believe me!).

Mahayana is NOT compatible with Catholicism, however, despite being concordant in many matters.

Theravada, when stripped of cultural baggage, is JUST a methodology, nothing more, allowing one to test our spiritual propositions. So they are very harmonious together!

Peace.

Buddhism is not incompatible at all; now, Catholicism can be incompatible with anything depending on whom you ask. Let your heart and faith guide you. Be happy and be well.

I see no conflict between the two.
Ideologically, the two deal with different areas ... Buddhism deals with freedom from suffering and has an internal locus of control. Catholicism deal with worship of/redemption by Jesus Christ and has an eternal locus of control.
In terms of how one lives, a good Catholic lives very much like a good Buddhist ... both have similar standards help up for their behavior (although Buddhism has slightly harder standards).
