The Romans murdered Jesus, not Roman Catholics.
Romans were people who, basically, lived in Rome. The Jews didn't directly kill Jesus, but they did ask the Roman leader, Pontius Pilate, to kill Jesus. So they kinda had a hand in it.
but the Catholics didn't do it.
Roman Catholics are called that because the Catholic Church is also known as the Church of Rome. It's called the church of Rome because the Vatican (Catholic HQ) is in Rome. The Catholic HQ is in Rome, because that is where Peter (St. Peter, the one in the bible) was killed.
