What is the difference between Santeria, White Magick, Green Magick, Red Magick?
I think Santeria uses the guidance of Saints, and that it is different from Wicca, Many people I have spoken with had religious "things" around somewhat defined "Good" and "evil" now doesn't it just depend on how you use it? My grandma was a healer and helped people, she didn't ask for money. Sometimes people just Bright her gifts of appreciation. She used the Quiji board, always had a rosary and holy water on it. NO ONE allowed to touch it! She was very faithful. She was called a Healer. She knew things... I would have asked her, but I never had these thoughts and questions until now and she has passed away in 1999.I have ready some pages of Green Magick book, there are some things in there that may be thought of as "Not good." Does this just depend on the person? If they want to use this Magickal knowledge to harm others or not harm them? I know this may sound like jobber jabber.
A friend of mine said, and it's true, there is no such thing as black or white magic, only Grey. Always remember it's not WHAT you say, but HOW you say it and magic is the same.
I personally have never heard of green or red magic.
Santeria is the blending of old African religions with Catholicism. It's really not much like Wicca. It also involves sacrificing animals, such as chickens and goats, and blood.
I've read some good books on Santeria by those involved in it. I find it to be much more real than Wicca, actually. Much more substance to it. I wouldn't practice it because it doesn't appeal to me to do so, but I found it very interesting to learn about.
I don't know about Green Magick, Red Magick, sorry. I know that those colors are used in Wicca for candles or to represent specific emotions like love or hate, or even to represent healing or money or many different things.
White Magick is defined in part by those who practice it as being witchcraft with no intent of harm being done to others. It is based on love, helping, and even stopping or blocking those who would seek to do others harm. Done through rituals and incantations, using different tools. This may also include scurrying or tarot, although not all who use tarot and scurrying say they are practicing white witchcraft. The ideas of "Do what you will but harm none" and "what you do comes back to you threefold" are Wiccan reeds, as far as I know.
Santeria is a separate religion itself, while the other terms you used are simply "descriptive". White magic refers to constructive, positive magic -- not be confused with the term "good magic", as "good" only exists in the heart of the practitioner. Red magic usually relates to matters of love and passion. Green magic refers to nature, the earth, herbalism ... that sort of thing.
While Santeria has a doctrine of beliefs unique to itself, these other forms of magic can be used by anyone of any religion who practices witchcraft.
