Mexican santeria, AV hallucinations?

MY sister can to stay with me a week ago. (11 years old)

She was obviously not mentally stable. We took her for an Eal. and they decided to admit her.

She told them that she hears people calling her name for her to "Come here" and that she feels people over her shoulder and when she turns around, they are gone, but she swears there were people there.

These are just 1 of many issues

So I called our mom and told her that LS is having AV hallucinations. My mom gasped and said that she did to and described the exact same thing (she self medicates with alcohol). She said that she talked to my cousin and she said "ME TOO". Lastly, it all gets back to my g-ma and guess what.. SHE TOO says that she hears the voices calling her name.

So my sister, our mother, grandmother, and cousin all come out and it was a day of "ME TOO".

My sister didn't know any of this and each person thought they were the only one dealing with it. She is in a facility fro 3-5 days to deal with the voices.

They and we (Myself & OS) feel she needs psych. help an medication.

On the other side, they believe in premonitions and clairvoyance.


So what do you think..
ESP?
Psychosis?

And what do you think about these 4 women having this and just now coming out since my sister is admitted for it?
THEY are catholics who believe that people who practice Santeria can us it to harm them.

I think they all think they have some sort of ESP and can SEE negative things.
I'm Baptist, so I don't know the dynamics of the religious part.

She is in the hospital for wanting to stop the voices and shadows, but hanging herself from a tree.

That it is not impossible for them all to be having problems with demon influence, especially is Santeria plays a part in their lives . . .

is easier for a family like yours (the way described) because of your religious beliefs you think or believed on all of that, is OK but is for you to make them understand a mind is a beautiful thing to waste, is just psychosis, and tell them is kind of made up , the more they believe it the more it will happen to them,because they make it happen, by all believing on it.

Thinking you hear someone calling your name is such a common experience it does not count as a hallucination. Thinking there is someone behind you is also very common and is paranoia and not a hallucination.

They could have done a medication trial without hospitalization, that is usually reserved for suicidal or homicidal behavior. Counseling is also strongly recommended for children and has better results than medication alone.

I see no signs of clairvoyance or demonic influence in your description.
