What are some good songs similar to Sublime's "Santeria"?
Other sublime songs are welcome as answers too...I'm just looking to broaden my music horizons and I know there's something I've either never heard or that there's a great song I've forgotten about.
There was a song with the line "the female of the species is much deadlier than the male" and I always thought it was a sublime song, but it wasn't. Still don't know who's song it was.
There is a band called "Pepper" that has a sound much similar to Sublime. Check out their sings like "Stone Love" and "Tradewinds". 311 also has some songs like that but I can't think of any names.
Try some Everlast, like "ends" or "what its like", Or any Cake album, they are so unusual, but really good music, Sublime is sort of Ska, most Ska is pretty upbeat and catchy, even stuff like No Doubt, Try some Kenny Wayne Shepard or Jonny Lang, Great bluesy stuff! Los lonely boys... Not really like sublime, but good nonetheless.
