Traditional philosophy, Socrates, Descartes, Nietzsche make arguments based on reasoning, drawing conclusions by contemplating several premises. As a whole, philosophy takes an atheistic stance and usually, and anti-religion stance as well. Since Santeria is a religion, then this alone makes it at odds with traditional Western philosophy.
Religion uses religious thought (there are invisible beings who have an influence on our lives) and magical thought (If I do ritual X, I can obtain Y as a result, i.e. a better job, salvation etc..)
Santeria, as a religion, is not open to intentional changes in belief, but philosophy can adjust to better forms of reasoning. Philosophy says, "I think, therefore I am" and Santeria says, "I am because the god Obatala created me".
Santeria has its own teachings, its own verb age for looking at the world and explaining the universe.
So, I would say, philosophy and Santeria have very little in common. Thats not to say that people who practice Santeria do not believe in philosophy, we simply however begin with a different set of premises of what is true and what is not.
