Why does the media give people false info about Santeria?

People always go around saying Santeria is a bad religion, that Santeria are devil worshipers. 80 percent of Santeros are CATHOLIC, yea some do it for stupid reasons, or to reflect spells, but why the heck does everyone go around saying crap when they dint even know what it is all about, they are not informed about healing, and all the good, just the animal sacrifices(which bring animals to heaven).

For the same reason they give false information about any minority religion. They just don't understand it. As a Satanist I'm in exactly the same position.

The media are pro-not-having-to-do-much-research. Just like everyone else. Halfassery is part of human nature.

Santeros are NOT Catholic. They have taken certain Catholic concepts and perverted them into a type of voodoo.
