santeria magic bad considered bad?

do many people out the believe Santeria "magic" works at all or does it influence our behavior as a "placebo effect" to help us cope with our problems? many people believe Santeria works do work and help people lives better lives if used for good. but others dint. what is your take on Santeria and its rituals?

Its a bunch of BS. The placebo effect is a powerful thing, but never as good as the real drug.

Religion and magical thinking can be a powerful force in a person's life, but its not as good as the real thing, either. That real thing is REASON

they sacrifice animals still, as far as i know. I'm against the sacrificing part.
