Does santeria really work? Like the get him back spells etc?

Being LAtina, this a part of my culture. On every corner there are Botanicas and statues of Saints, then in the back, there is usually some kind of "reader." I'm just curious if anyone has had success, and if so with what reader (in the NYC area) I would like some spells for love and money. Also what about praying to certain Saints. Has anyone had success with a particular saint?
Tha k you Bryan and Rea Rea, I respect what you are saying, but this is the Catholic dilemma. Like everyone says, it is a religion of contradictions. We should not have no other Gods but the Father, and idolatry is a sin etc etc, but yet we worship saints, pray to them and have them all over our house. I just had a good long talk with one of my best friends who is a Protestant I believe, because I was getting confused with her calling herself a Christian, I thought I was one too?? she explained we all fall under the umbrella of Christianity but catholics are different because we worship saints and pray to saints, while she prays to God. She made great points, and Im not disagreeing with her, but at the same time, I wont stop praying to my saints either. I dint think I'm worship ping them, just using them as a bridge to connect me to Him.Does that make sense. And I figure I need all the help I can get so why not try Santeria, which is not evil when done correctly!

Yes it does, i went to talk with a Santeria Padrino and i told him i needed love in my life,anyway to make a story short we did some crazy ritual were i had to pray to Obatala and take a shower with honey and raw eggs, anyway after a week i met this hot Venezuelan girl took her home and had a night of passion, anyway i went out with her for about 2 weeks and never saw her again, i wax satisfied for a wile thug, i will never forget that. is about that time i see Padrino again LOL

I have never seen it for myself but I have heard that when you do Santeria you end up hurting people just cause of your selfishness. plus Santeria does not come from god it comes from the devil anything that has to do with magic is nothing but the work of the devil. god performs miracles not selfish wishes....I do believe in saints but I do not pray to them I pray only to god I respect saints cause they were good noble people who were just like us and dedicated their lives to god and doing good...pray to god for what you want and need if it is what he wants for you you will have it.good luck.................swami two weeks of pleasure is not love.

Try praying to God..if the saints are so named by God, why go to a secondary source? Try asking God that the person who has hurt you be blessed,so they may change,they may come back and bless you.
I'm not trying to tell you what to do, only to try something new. God says in the Bible,that in all things and matters, talk to me. Give him a go, what have you got to loose?
