I am interested in practicing Santeria.. Please Help?

I am interested in practicing Santeria, My "aunt" used to practice or embrace this religion, but she is very secretive of it, as with many other practitioners. I know for sure that I won't be able to get any answers from her and the other members will not tell me until they are comfortable. I would like to get to know the religion better and practice it the proper way,I believe I have a connection with Yemme(a) the saint,I also searched on line and go ogle but I received different answers and interpretations and I want to do this correctly without upsetting the Gods. If any one is a practitioner and so forth feel free to respond. I'm not interested in opinions just true facts from those who are involved and any information regarding the basic tools needed to begin.. I would like to start buying candles and beads to begin praying.. True believers respond only. feel free to ask for my email if more information is needed. Also if there are any temples or places of wisp in NYC or stores to purchase materials for beginners, I do not want to read a book,I'm looking for real life advice.. Thank You

Santeria is a religion apart of Catholicism, and many similarities to Christianity, I find this religion be something I might need to partake in.. I have never heard of Santeria. Why wouldn't they want to share it if it is real or true?

I am a true believer that there is only one God, the one that created you and me and everything on this Earth. I would be happy to share my beliefs with anyone, and not be secretive about it.

I would first seek the advise of a person who is in santeria and they help guide you in the right direction. I have a friend that is in the religion and he loves it. I have goten readings from babalawos and santeros in the religion and they were amazing. I would first get a reading and see what you should do next. the reading will guide you in the right path. The best reading i have gotten in my life was from a babalawo and the second best reading i have gotten was from a santero. Both readings I got from the same place.
