Ok, so I'm Muslim, and my Catholic friend tells me that it's possible to make a deal with the devil and then he gives you an ability, e.g. talent with the violin.
I did some research, and apparently there are rituals in which you draw some circle and use a goat's head.... there's even a Satanic church, apparently
It sounds downright foolish in my opinion. I know you will "sell" your soul, (because worship ping the devil means you're not worship ping God) but that just means you'll go to Hell... it's not like the devil will talk to you or give you anything ... what do you guys think? Please, theists only
I understand it's downright sinful to worship the devil, but the "stuff" the devil gives you, the "benefits", they can't be real (materialistic)? Because if he gave you a talent that would be proof of the devil and undoubtedly proof of God so that would ruin the whole 'faith is impossible with proof' thing.
And I'm not interested in converting .. Lil .. Islam is fine with me
I was into satanism many years and gave myself to him. He did give me powers, but it was only to entrap me and keep me in his evil grasp. My final destination was to be hell. Thank you Jesus for saving my soul and setting me free!
It really is foolish in my opinion too. I think that it's absolutely crazy to sell your soul to something that won't give you life or anything in return. God gives you peace and love beyond any other, and heaven. So, why would you go with Satan? You shouldn't.
Ya it's possible. And just because someone sells their soul, doesn't mean they worship the devil. People who sell their sells are just players (doing something for the benefit of themselves.) But in the long run, it's not good.
Some guy a while back said he sold his soul, and that's how he was able to play the Blues so good.
I'm a Muslim, when u sell your soul to the devil, you would be disobeying Allah. the devil would help you have fame in your life but when you die, you will go to hell for eternity, so i advise you brother not to do these kind of things.
answer: You're describing renegade Christians, not Satanists.
The Church of Satan members don't believe in Satan or God and don't sell their souls. They don't believe in an afterlife and Theistic Satanists think Christianity got it wrong and they don't have to "sell" their souls.
You're mixing devil worship with Church of Satan members and that's not correct. Only reverse Christians buy into the devil myth. Usually insane or mucked up teens and young adults. All claims of Satanic crimes were found to be false and tales of abuse were made by disturbed people that couldn't back up their claims.
CofS members wouldn't sacrifice an animal or harm a child - they are sacred and to be protected.
Satan gives nothing out of love. If you want something from him, he has the power to give, but the cost is very dear. He will use you for his advantage, not yours.
Jesus on the other hand gives freely out of love. His death on the cross and subsequent resurrection freed man from spiritual death. When He returns, it will be to free those who trust in Him for their salvation from physical death as well.
Yes there are satanic churches and there are satanic rituals...but I suggest before you ever do anything like that, get the book 'Hostage to the Devil' by Malachi Martin, you may be able to get it at the library or as an inter-library loan. It was written by a very well educated man who has studied and performed exorcisms. The book documents the process of possession and the exorcism of six people...the scariest book I've ever read.
Dude, church of Satan is thesis and as such they wouldn't 'sell' there souls. Do some research before making such ugly claims. Like somebody said (sorry can't remember your name) only reverse Xians and that say the sell there soul. You can dedicated your soul but that is entirely different.
Seriously though research, you aren't getting anywhere just by asking biased questions.
1. Satanists don't "sell their souls." Spiritual Satanists do dedicate their souls to Satan/Lucifer, but that has nothing to do with the Faustian concept of making a pact with Satan and gaining power on Earth. Stories of people giving their souls to Satan are nothing but folklore that has accumulated over the centuries. As a Spiritual Satanist I can guarantee you that Satan isn't interested in your soul. The RhP religions are far more interested in people's souls than any demon. Winning souls over to Christ is a big part of many christian denominations right?
2. You think Satanists believe in a Satan defined by Christianity. Satanists don't believe in Jehovah, they don't think they are going to hell. Even the ones that do believe in a literal hell think it is more of a paradise and that the Biblical account is total bullshit. And the "devil" does talk to his followers, he does provide for his own.
Realize that Satanists do not view Satan as the same way as you do. I highly doubt you view the Jewish god in the same way I do, or you wouldn't give him praise.
P.S. That "satanic church" you were talking about is run by atheists and has nothing to do with the kind of satanism you were talking about.
Actually you got it all wrong WHOA man please read up on Satanism before saying what you said above. The nine-foot circles are blasphemous to the demons and abusive Satanists for the most part respect the powers they are calling upon except a few misguided fools who don?t know what they are doing. There is no goats head its a bathmat and most often it is a picture or statue that is used in rituals. Also Animals are sacred to Satan.
You don?t sell your soul to the "devil" you only dedicate if you want to and even then only when you are ready. Satan dozen?t push himself on anyone. Also many people have talked to Satan and his demons and have been given things. Please read WNW.joyofsatan.com and research true Satanism for yourself it is nothing like what you are talking about.
What I don't understand is that you direct this to Christians and Muslims who ARE going to say that it is evil. The question should have been directed to Satanists because it's asking about their religion!
