I have a close friend who's satanist; she impressed me with her knowledge about events that only I knew. E.g. I said something about a few people and it's amazing how she learned that. She also LentNT few more details about me which seems quite impossible because only I knew them.
She claimed those were "voices of Satan", "disturbances" etc.
Contrary to ignorant belief, Satanists do NOT worship or believe in any devil called "Satan". ONLY Christians do. Satanism gets its name from the PRE-Christian Hebrew term, 'Satan', which means "inner adversary". It wasn't a name for a devil until Christians invented their scapegoat and hijacked the word.
Satanism is an adversary of Christianity, in that it values education (over blind adherence); personal responsibility and atonement (as opposed to blaming demons or instant forgiveness by an uninvolved party); loving only ones friends and family (instead of doling it out without any criteria to every stranger); and sex as beautiful, natural, and life-sustaining (not dirty and sinful, like Christianity makes it out to be). Satanists consider children and animals to be precious - they would NEVER require or permit the sacrifice of either, again unlike the Christian God.
Most Satanists are atheists (i.e. they don't believe in or worship any deities), and are wonderful, moral, helpful, caring people. Unfortunately, lying church propaganda has created a lot of false rumors about them.
What kind of Satanist is she? I don't think a LaVey would ever use the expression "voices of Satan" unless she's stringing you along because you're so gullible.
LaVeyan satanists are alright, they don`t believe in blue monkeys playing chess on Jupiter. But the spiritual satanists are no better, if not worse, than Christians since they take their religion seriously.
Fact is, I don't know a lot about satanism, but if it is what somebody is interested in, let them get on with it.
Everybody is entitled to their own views, as long as they don't endanger others,or cause pain and suffer ring, and on a personnel note , they don't try pushing them onto me or my kids.
Most of the people I have met who practice satanism become really dark, and end up in prison for murder, in a rubber room or on strong medication and really confused, hearing voices, etc.
I have no doubt it can lead to demonic possession, evil spirits, etc.
The name Satan means adversary, enemy. It seems an unusual thing to do, to worship the enemy.
Depends on how they view Satan
If its the Satan of the Christianity there just evil and probably deluded
If its the symbol of opposition for Christianity there probably more pagan more hippie type
If there are the Black Magicians then they are the real Satanists that Christianity talked about and killed millions of people to fight against the Real "WITCHES" of Christianity
Not that I have something against theme but they give a really different meaning to the word "holy"
read the story of "Mike war Nike" he was the high priest of the satanic church" a very true story we all posses good and evil in our spirits it is a matter of choice which one you allow into your mind and spirit .. be care full in listening to people who worship the master of lies.. they can add a little bit of truth or fact to a huge pack of lies just to get you to believe in them and what they r saying .. if this person is your friend I would convince them to invoke good spirits and not evil ones
According to those who believe in monotheist religion, God created everything ,including his angels. "In the beginning was God" and so on. The most beautiful of the angels and the highest in power was Lucifer. Eventually Lucifer became so vain and arrogant that he turned against God and there was a power struggle in heaven. Lucifer believed that he deserved to be in control. He was wrong and after a brief struggle he got his ass kicked and was cast down from heaven. He now exists in hell where he plots and schemes his evil way until the final days.
Now, in order to believe in Satan you must first believe in his implacable enemy, God. Therefore satanists believe in God just as much as Christians and Jews believe in the existence of Satan. The big difference is that God has already whipped Satan's ass once and will have no trouble at the end of days in doing it again. Satanist are, according to there own "religion" already on the losing team. So basically it's exactly as we already know, SATANISTS ARE LOSERS.
Satanism is not really a religion as such because religions worship gods, not also rains who came a poor second.
well don't know about that, but I read what satanist people believe in a web site and found it really appropriate for our time.
I.E: do give the other chick once, but if people abuse you, make sure you don't help them anymore.
