What is it? Someone told me they believe in helping people...and that Satan is only something God uses to tempt people...it's not actually supposed to be a real figure? Please inform me with FACTS, not just something made up.
they believe in self indulgence, they dint help anyone that i know of, Satan is not a person its simply the face of self indulgence and evil. however they all have their own agendas.
That is correct. In LaVeyan Satanism, the most common variety (which is also the Church of Satan), Satan is only used as a figure of freedom and not an actual being. It's also a remarkably ethical path--though much of it is concerned with fulfilling your own desires, this should never be done at the expense of others. Many Satanists are indeed involved in charity work, believing that making a better world for anyone leads to a better world for everyone.

Satan will use many forms to gain followers. These could come in a form of a helpful old woman. It could come the form of a jolly old man in a red suit. The separation is in the temptation that is elicited. God does not use Satan. The problem is that Satan is always the evil snake that we see in the stories. Anything that tempts you from the path to God is Satan's hand.
Yes Satanists can help people and appear to be doing good. The difference is in the "why". If you are helping a poor person to be recognized for the deed, or to make your self feel good then you are doing the deed for Satan and not God. If your desire is purely to help someone for the sake of that person, that is Godly.
satanism is ANY act whether you have a Ouija board or freak in marker that is used to promote or communicate anything evil. it is no joke, it is no myth, and it is certainly nothing to F*** around with. trust me, Ive been there, your life will NEVER be the same if you experiment with it.

Satanism is NOT the Christian's view of it. Instead, it is a worship of yourself since you know YOu exist as your own entity, fully in view and able to talk to people. There is no abstinence, but there is full indulgence. It's a representation of the existence of the human as opposed to asking of something you can't see.
Self-sufficient, and the fruits of YOUR labor as opposed to the fruits of asking for something that MAY happen anyways. It has nothing to do with the Christian's Satan. I'm not evil, but I'm not a recognized Satanist either. I'm currently in the process of finding myself a place in life with this religion.

Facts? Hmmm... Well I know there are a whole lot of myths & disinformation about them. I do know for sure that they believe something like Do as you please Fullfill all your desires basically do what makes you happy,within the confines of the law of course. True "satanists" do not sacrifice any living thing, but it is funny when ever people start finding dead cats they always call it satanism. They do rituals and have a bible that pretty much states the op posit of the holy bible. Basically they just do what they do to piss people off and they probably love that people think they sacrifice cats. I don't remember the rest of the program
It is something I hope you never get involved in. It is black witchcraft. The members are usually cruel, evil and do whatever they want, even commit crimes like murder to use as a sacrifice for Satan, sometimes a members unborn child after it is born. They are after evil power. What they don't understand is that Satan hates them with a passion and is only after their soul and making sure it goes to hell. People who are satanists have no love feelings for anyone, and if they say they do they are lying, because only God can give love. What they consider love is usually lust, and alto of sex goes on in satanic cults. God does not temp anyone with this! The only temptation comes from Satan, as he wants to take as many as he can because he knows his time is running out. God is after our souls too, but because he wants us to have everlasting life in Heaven. God truly loves all mankind. On the other hand, Satan hates all mankind. Who do you want to trust? A born again Christian who loves and trusts God and The Son Jesus Christ, or a satanist who loves no one but evil power and uses Satan for dastardly deeds and only believes in evil?
Satanism itself is that you believe in the one being that you know exists, yourself and that you are responsible for your actions, you cannot blame bad deeds performed by you on "the devil". A Satanist can believe anything to be a god (even oneself), but they can also believe nothing to be a god (essentially being an atheistic satanist). Satanists are free to support any political party, any political philosophy, any political candidate they see fit without pressure from the Church of Satan (the Church itself is apolitical). The Church of Satan encourages Satanists (and everyone else) to volunteer, donate, just help your fellow man and make the Earth a better place to live.
The Church of Satan believes strongly in law, order, and justice. Members of the Church can (and probably will) be expelled for illegal acts (Even if it was legal, acts such as "eating a baby and killing cats" will get you expelled from the Church of Satan, they are not tolerated.)
Do not confuse Satanists (aka. LeVayan satanists) with Theistic Satanisism (The worship of "the devil") or Demonolatry (the worship of demons), chances are a Satanist doesn't even believe "Satan" (the theistic Deity) exists.
Don't be confused by what theistic religions tell you, The vast majority of Satanists are not "evil", there are far more "evil" Christians, Muslims, Jews, etc. in the world than "evil" Satanists.
