I am interested in embracing Satanism, can anyone help?
Having read Denis Wheatley and King novels, the subject interests me greatly and as yet I have not found a conventional religion which is convincing enough, thus I would very much like to embrace this belief.
have you read Anton Lavey yet? he is considered the father of modern American satanism.
i find that he kind of rants and rambles, but my husband reads him a lot and thinks he's awesome.
there are Churches in The United States who worship Satan especially on the west coast. However, suggest you think seriously about doing so because these people are considered deviant by mainstream society and may be subject to ridicule and other problems not known at first
You want to embrace what belief? You are content to follow a religion having read the novels of 2 authors. Are you saying that Satanism is the way forward, because it's more convincing? Perhaps you're just a rather bored, unimaginative atheist? Read some other books, and prepare to be influenced by the wonder of the world according to Dougal, or Mr Benn. Oh, and get out more.

Satan is just another made-up character from an unreliable old book some people created in the middle east. I agree with the guy who said follow Mr Benn. He's just as real. Oh, and whoever said God... Him too.
I once did an Internet test of my worldview and they said the perfect religion for me was satanism but they explained it(for believers).It`s not like you worship Satan,you just don`t believe in god and do your thing which is acting like you find best not obeying tiring church rules of course it dozen`t mean you`re evil so pal we`re on the same side of the boat.It`s not that i`m embracing it because i really could`t care less about religion.
As far as I'm aware the basic score with the apparently 'dark art' (which its not by the way) is based on acceptance.
I would imagine it was named Satanism (by a certain religion i wont name) as a means of eradicating it from society, you see you can do no wrong in the eyes of a satanist thus resulting in chaos...or so the UN-named probably think! (I dint)
My advice would be to simply download or buy some material on it from a few different sources and go from there. (You should also be aware that as in all groups there are apparently some extremists that do take worshiping rather far and arguably turn it into something else entirely.)
Also, if what you are looking for is an understanding, meaning or purpose then learning Ur self as opposed to join a faction is, in my opinion, a much better idea as one is less likely to find fulfillment in the wrong place.
Ever heard of Alchemy? Damn interesting, forget about turning metal into gold, its more based around the idea that EVERYTHING in the universe is joined spiritually. From what Ive read up on so far its rather quite beautiful and calming.

Have you looked at Buddhism and the Hindu religions. They are very different and might be of interest.
Why do you need to have a religion? If you do enough research, you will eventually form your own ideas, and practice your own personal religion. This is what most of the world's spiritually advanced people do

Somehow you're managed to miss the Satanism websites on the Internet, yet your question sounds like it could have come out of The Cloven Hoof.

Depends on which branch you wish to follow, as far as I know, there are two. The one that follows Satan as the Devil, and the one that follows Satan as Lucifer in his angelic and Godly form.
When I first came to Witchcraft, (which isn't Satanism) I was a little mortified to find that people would join Satanism, but having read more on it, I have found that it is not a religion based on evil intents, but is very much in the pursuit of self indulgence, and doesn't frown upon what Witches and Wiccans know as 'selfish magi ck', though, as far as I know, they don't harm anyone or anything when they do it.
I am not completely adverse to the idea of Satanism, and am much more tolerant these days, so if you read up on it, and find that it suits you, go for it!
