What type of Satanism are you doing a report on? All kinds or one specific kind?

Some forms of primary theistic Satanism:

LaVey-based theistic Satanism. Based primarily on Anton LaVey's writings, but with a theistic interpretation, whereas most LaVeyans are atheistic symbolic Satanists. (Also called Modern Satanism. This one is my brand by the way, Lil.)

Gnostic Luciferianism, based on ancient Ophite Gnosticism, usually combined with subsequent Western occult traditions. Lucifer is typically seen as both a bringer of spiritual enlightenment and a champion of individual liberty. Some Luciferians are also strongly influenced by LaVeyan Satanism or by the Temple of Set paradigm, though most are not. Luciferians typically make a sharp distinction between "Lucifer" and "Satan" and between "Luciferianism" and "Satanism," although their idea of "Lucifer" typically does borrow at least some themes from the Christian Devil concept. But a few Gnostic Luciferians do identify as "Satanist" as well as "Luciferian"; a well-known example was Herbert Sloane's Lady of Endor Coven, founded back in 1948. Those relatively few Gnostic Luciferians who do see "Lucifer" and "Satan" as the same entity (or as aspects of the same entity) can be considered primary theistic Satanists. Because most Luciferians do not consider themselves to be "Satanists," I won't list any Luciferian groups here, but it is easy to find a few by Googling "Luciferian Gnostic."

Christian-based duotheism, also known as "reverse Christianity." Essentially Christian in its theology, except for a belief that (1) Satan has at least some chance of winning in his war against the Creator and (2) such a victory is desirable, usually because Satan is seen as a champion of human freedom. Many non-Satanists erroneously assume that all Satanists are Christian-based duotheists. Many ex-Christian Satanists embrace some form of Christian-based duotheism when they first become Satanists, but in most cases move on to other beliefs later - sometimes other forms of Satanism, sometimes back to Christianity, and sometimes other religions.

I'll link you to a few places, and to a link of The Satanic Bible by Anton LaVey

Hello, Michael:

Did you know your name means "he who is like God?' And Daniel calls Michael the Prince. A prince is a son of the King, and one like God has to be Jesus name before He became our Savior. Having said that:

Well, I read a book on prayer by Roger Morneau; therein he mentions he was in a satanist cult. It would be years later that I found his biography on that experience.

Morneau was at the highest level of Satanism where there are no delusions but they get information straight from Lucifer. You will find his experience very very informative: http://revelado.org/cult.htm

Blessings, Ben Yeshua

P.S.: Read the on-line publication in my profile--it proves Jesus is the Messiah and much more.

It does not focus on the devil of Christianity, but rather its own entity.

There is no Lucifer or separate Satan in Judaism that came from paganism and fear of not reading the clouds, stars, tea leaves, or not giving a cake for a patron god's birthday, etc. Read on Ides of March, also Jinns in Prue-Islamic Allah religion when there were 360 idols under the God Most High called Allah who had 3 daughters (as mentioned in the Qu'ran). So there are so many stories that were in many books and influenced Christianity and Islam like: Zoroastrianism, Hinduism, Buddhism, Mendeans, Gnostic religions, Mithraism, Persus, Horus as Isa (Jesus in Islam), Egyptian Book of the Dead & their system of life and resurrection. Plus the various Gaul invasions, then the mongols and Chinese influences. Don't forget Thor too. Makes quite a mix. Good luck. Check on Eastern rite saints that said they were fed actual flesh and blood of Jesus, via transubstantiation in the black mass or the pentagram in paganism vs. Star of David, see "Sefer Yetzirah" (Book of Creation) said to have been written by Abraham.

Well, I was a Satanist for all of about 2 weeks. However, I do implement some of their ideals in my own belief system.

Look up traditional alternate names for the planet Venus and be freaked out. Venus was called "Lucifer" many years before the advent of Christianity. Lucifer (just as Venus did in her myths) represents the fire of human passion and love, because Venus/Lucifer is the brightest "star" to the naked eye.

Well, there are different types of Satanists, are you looking for information on theistic Satanism or non-theistic Satanism?

Some Satanists, such as myself, view Anton LaVey's idea of Satanism as a philosophy, and to be honest with you its actually a pretty good philosophy for anyone. However some Satanists believe in and worship the Biblical character. Satanism is, in reality an umbrella term. If you want questions answered about Satanism feel free to email me.

There are so many denominations / forms of Satanism, Luciferianism, Setianism and Dark Paganism that it takes more than just answering a question on YAHOO! ANSWERS to find what you really want.

Sorry but I don't think you will get any replies that will reveal any clandestine occult secrets from here.

As a Satanist who recognizes Lucifer as my true Creator, Satanism to me is about the empowerment and liberation of humanity. Satanism is not about human and blood sacrifices as many people have been misled to believe. It is about freeing yourself from the cage that holds back humanity as a whole and becoming a forerunner. It is about shedding the light on the lies of the centuries and giving thanks to our Creator for liberating us. It is about living life to its fullest and learning who you are, what you like, what you don't like, separate from the "opinions" of others.

answer: this was written by a contact of mine:

Some believe the "Satan" was a name given to a much older god. The one that actually did create life. Xianity plagiarized much older religions, forced others to convert or die, then destroyed the evidence of the occult knowledge given to man by Satan, or Lucifer. This knowledge was to help mankind elevate themselves spiritually to the point of being gods themselves.

There are some Satanists who don't believe in any of sort of deity at all. They usually follow the works of Lavey and are basically atheistic in their belief system. They worship themselves as being gods already, and their motto is something akin to "do what though wilt, shall be the whole of the law". They also teach a healthy dose of responsibility to go along with their doctrine, pointing out that it is only favorable to be responsible to others who are responsible for themselves.

"Devil" worship is usually practiced by fools and posers, A handful of pissed off Xtians who don't know anything except what they've been taught by the bible, and because they don't like god anymore, choose to do the opposite of what the bible says. Real Satanists despise these types of people because they really give us a bad name.

We teach that we are Natural beings, and as such, should do what comes naturally.

We teach that all the seven deadly sins are falsehoods, as they all lead to mental, emotional, or physical gratification. I could explain this in detail if I have to.

We also teach responsibility, that we are responsible for our own lives.

We teach that animals and children are sacred, as they are Natural in the most complete sense as they have not been sullied by the likes of preconceptions or interference from humans in an animals case.

We teach to love completely they whom deserve our love, and to hate they who would wish us ill, for then love and hate won't become watered down, by trying to love everyone, even people that do rotten things.

We teach to learn all we can about our natural world, to learn history and symbolism, so that we can better connect to Nature.

We teach an understanding of all the forces of Nature, and how to balance those forces within ourselves.

We show that self-preservation is the highest law, as if you cannot preserve yourself, then how you can preserve anything?

And we show how to ritualized our emotions into magical workings, to accomplish something that would otherwise be unchangeable, and to rid ourselves of emotions that if held in could destroy us.

We frown upon drug use, as that makes a person less effective as a magician and a human being in general.

I could write a book but not here.

Your friendly neighborhood Satanist

Im a LaVeyan Satanist and we believe that we are our own god because we decide what happens to us. We dint believe that we're like a Deity, though. We believe in indulgence instead of abstinence. We believe we should live by the 7 deadly sins because they each give us physical, mental, or emotional pleasure. We use Satan as a symbol and do not really believe he exists.

I first identified as a Satanist 23 years ago and it is a path that will lead to a constant growing of wisdom and knowledge. Satan represents strength, individuality, freedom, wisdom, knowledge, hon our, power over ones own life, and being the best one can be. He is an actual being who is beyond both good and evil and capable of both. He will push his followers to constantly grow in all areas of their lives not only mentally, but emotionally, intellectually, financially, etc. This is a path unlike any other.

To some Satan is just the symbol of Hyman's natural state as animals, SIN to Christians. To others he is an ancient force who tests us, rewards us for making proper choices. The dark side of nature. He gave us knowledge of good and evil, therefor giving us free will, the ability to make decisions.. Even the bible says he is the god of this world. We owe him for not keeping us as ignorant apes (well, some of us at least!) I think the Christian God a being that wants to enslave mankind, or was invented by those in power to ASSIST in enslaving mankind (do what he commands, or suffer for eternity! Since I am king, chosen by god, my word is gods word.) It came from Shaitan, which means "Accuser" If you believe he is a fallen angel, think about this..Satanael, in fact, was his angelic name meaning "The Accuser of God".. meaning he WORKS for god.
I believe that he/she/it IS the god(Essa) of this world. He tests our faith constantly, THAT is why Satan is a name many Satanists stick with. He IS the Horned God of Nature, misaligned by the rival cult now known as Christianity.
