While I admit to not knowing a great deal about either of those, I would venture to guess that vampires has nothing to do with Satan, but at the same time I have learned that not all satanism has anything to do with Satan either. Perhaps try kippedDHnd compare. )O(
If you are thinking of clinical vampires, Reinfields Syndrome, there is no comparison. Since it deals with a person"s need to drink blood. Satanism was originally created to be a place of free occult thought, a way to get back at the church, for suppression of free thought.
.....What? People that think they're vampires don't have to believe in any god, and satanists believe in god by default because they believe Satan was right to rebel....
In all truth this is a very good question, many people get this fact wrong
actually the base of vampires comes from a particular sect of satanism which partakes in the development and implication of energy or life draining powers, the main demons who are related to in these sects were succubi and incubus, this was later related to a particular demon who was either able to take a human form or a practitioner who was able to attain the ability to drain the life force or energy of slain victims for his/her own purposes, so basically vampires and satanism are basically the same thing, with one being a part of the other. It may also be helpful to note that vampire's practitioners today do not worship the devil/Satan but instead worship the first to attain these such qualities, striving to duplicate this effect, though no one truly knows if it was truly a human who attained these powers. hope I answered your question
