People fear what they don't understand. And since lots of people are Christian, that's what they think it is...it's stupid, misinformed, and just....stupid.
because people tend to lump things together into "sides" and that generally only leaves two options A or B and everything that is not A is "automatically a B".
No it makes no sense, but most people do it regardless of who they are and what they believe or don't believe. not trying to make anyone mad or anything but look how some do it, all believers are automatically fundamental crazy close minded Christians and all non believers are freethinking and intelligent. It is an animal instinct of us against them survival.
Because there are spells and things that though Wicca might not believe it Christians believe it is demons manipulating and power hungry. The bible says witchcraft is a sin so the devil is in it. It is better to pray for God to help instead of employing demons to do the bidding . It is an impatient control problem. Sort of like Esau.
The pentagram has been misunderstood as a symbol in Wicca for ages, so that's the biggest reason. Additionally, most people have no idea what the basic tenants of either religion are, so they find it easy to mix them into one big enemy of Christ. Satanism, in reality, does not believe in the devil at all; they worship, essentially, oneself and materialism, I believe, while Wicca is purely a completely nature-based religion.
Well, the Christians and now the Muslims had to find a way to discredit us and associating us with Satan is a good way to do that. They already associate Satan with Cernunos, Pan and Baphomet. If Satan did exist do you think he would be happy about that?
because there is a segment of Christians who believe that if you do not favor their particular style of religion, you are with Satan, their "enemy"

Because Wicca is witchcraft and it is Satanism. The Bible Incourages us to suffer not a witch to live.
If we allow them to live among us then we are in dangering ourselves to daemons and evil spirits which they secretly worship.

Because anything not associated with Christianity is automatically associated with Satan. Wicca has nothing to do with Christianity so (according to Christians) it MUST be of the Devil.
Christians only see things in black and white. They are the white while everything else is black.
