I do not understand how:
A man born to Jewish parents made his own religion
The same man (Anton la very) had his own song published.
The name of the church has been changed a couple of times

Also, who is the head of this church at the moment?

Finally, what is the significance of a goat, and a pigs head?

This may sound offensive to some, but blunt honesty is how i work

Strictly speaking Satanism as taught by LaVey is a Philosophical Worldview rather than a religion, and most of them don't believe in God or Satan as being Divine Beings in the conventional sense. If you're really interested they have a web site at: WNW.churchofsatan.com/

Laveyan Satanism is a religion in the same sense as Wicca and Scientology are. It has dogma, it has followers, it has rituals, it was organized in the 20Th century.

Your first question answers itself, because Jesus brought us not just the only true religion, but the only way we can have a relationship with the Father. Anton Levay is the author of the satanic bible. A goat represents selfishness, and cannot be led like sheep because of rebellion. Satan is always the head of all his churches, any religion which denies Jesus as Savior, Lord, and equal with God in every way, serves Satan. Remember, Satan loves everything God hates.

Yes Satanism is a religion, and like most all religions has several different denominations. One Like the Leviathan do not believe in a god or devil, but worship themselves as the gods
There is a group that actually does worship the devil. I am not fully sure on all the details since I am just starting on studying this religion.
