Are you a satanist, if so then do I have the basic idea of what satanism really is?
It has been brought to my individual attention
that many of my personal beliefs adhere to
many of the principles of Satanism.
Then again, right now I would be forsaking
what it truly means to be a satanist,
which is to not voice the movement
through petty means, hence Yahoo Answers
but to use those principles as a guide
to allow me to procure my own individual
interpretation of personal enlightenment.
As an individualist, instead of SAYING
i am a satanist, I must BE a satanist,
the reason this "religion" appeals to me
is that as I have previously mentioned
beforehand many of my ideas and beliefs
mirror those of which I have read.
those sites where people meet other satanists
and talk about satanism and "preach" satanism
they are conforming, one branch of sin where
satanism is concerned is conformity is strictly
prohibited. I was about to join one site but i refrained
from doing so. It is my job to take these
satanist principles and not conform to them
but use them as a foundation upon which i build
my own sense of personal enlightenment.
you whats strange.. Satan is a product of the 3 main religions, Christianity, Jeudism and Islam.. Satan was a creation of God.. so to believe in Satan, you have to believe in God, cause they come together in the same story if you are an unbeliever..
Also Satan isn't any God, or evil God , he is just a creation from God and choose to disobey God, but he isn't any power over God.. God created him and if he so chooses, can uncreated him.. So why worship something with no power? I think satanists that worship Satan are fools.. cause even Satan himself knows there is a god who created him..

Its nice that you've found a religion that isn't usually looked at, by doing so you diversify the world Little more. Keep in mind however that religions now a days are subject to immediate change, rules regarding proper actions (i.e. what constitutes a sin) changes so quickly, or may not matter much to some people as it does to others, even if both devoutly follow the same religion, but listen to different sources on how to follow that religion. Using what you know, or learn of one religion to follow your own path can be enlightening and a moderately challenging experience. So always be ready to face a hurdle, and overcome it.
Satanism is a form of Hedonism, in fact Anton Lavey says specifically in the satanic bible to indulge the pleasures of the earth because to deny your desires are the same as denying your humanity or something like that....
Why turn satanist?
Seems kind of silly to exchange one set of beliefs for another.
Satanist is simple do onto other as they do onto you. Example if your family member is killed in Satan's eyes you have the right to kill a member of there family. If your daughter is raped, rape them. True satanist understand that first and foremost SATAN= AN ANGEL. He isn't pure evil like they make him out to be, he just has very very different ideals. your choice to turn the other cheek (Christians) or slap the bitch back ( satanist). Thats the simplest way i can explain it.
The first flaw of satanism is that it acknowledges god and the bible as legitimate things. Things to be rebelled against, admittedly, but only within their own false context of gnostic legitimacy. Each holds the other as corruptions of the truth although neither is based on truth in the first place.
Of course, you could be a protestant satanist that doesn't believe in Satan or God but that would just make you a slightly less than free thinking atheistic agnostic rather than a theist one.
